I know Danny Boy was on more than 3 or 4 songs.
Facts ! Danny Boy didn’t even release a Death Row album. Suge was doing more than he should’ve for a lot of those artist
Fax Danny boy dot your ass down
Respect From Melbourne Australia.
I just love the straight up approach of Reggie towards the events and happenings of the "deathrow" era. Big up Reggie.👊👍✌
Nate Dogg: how long will they mourn me, All about you, Skandalouz
Nate was also on how long will they mourn me
PAC wasn’t on Deathrow then
Sad you won't be getting that interview with Jewell. A great sadness she is gone. She helped make history. Now I am GLAD that you bought up this subject up about RECORD SALES. I hope you can do a video based on this comment to help these 90' and 2000s youngsters understand something. Back then any breakout artist, duo or group that SOLD 500,000 copies weren't flops. Back then it was VERY DIFFICULT to sell that many copies of a PHYSICAL product as a new act. The ONLY way that album could not sell MORE is when there were no more pressed ready for distribution. Or if they just don't have the budget. Even if it's way past that 500,000 mark it is still considered gold. These record companies wouldn't press up 3 million copies if they feel your act wouldn't sell past a million. Then take into account at that time people made homemade copies on blank cassettes or CDs for their friends and family. Then you had the bootleggers. Back to All Eyes On Me. I bought that in 96. That cassettes cost ME close to $22 after taxes. Because I actually bought 2 albums packaged as one product. Your average tape at that time was $10. These days they are streaming and counting ticket sales as record sales. Which puts the numbers in a astronomical figure. And THAT is the reason why the skinny jeaner generation believes a gold album is a flop. It's ONLY a flop if you were normally a PLATINUM selling artist, duo or group. Oh yeah about the cellphones, they would not understand that not everyone had one. They were a rarity and very expensive. Most of us used payphones and house phones. You were BALLING if you had a pager. Cellphones were TOP LEVEL. Even with the unlimited nights and weekends. Remember the faulty illegal cellphones with the chip?😆 ©2022
I actually listened to Danny boys songs of gridlocked and slip and slide all the time, didn't Danny boy release a album on death row 5 or 6 years ago called about time ,he's probably talking about that
Christmas on death row was a great album can you ask if possible any questions about it or if there is any stories about that record ...Didnt Danny Boy have a far few songs on that
Love the videos Reggie , I listen daily as I work , can we start referring to keefe d as queefe d tho? 😂 I hate that guy
I like when Reggie say y’all don’t know nothing about that y’all was too young not knowing I’m not that young 😂😂
Lol. Wasn’t no cell phone plans back in the 80’s and 90’s. My momma Motorola cell bill was 1k-2k a month.

Come When I Call was on Murder Was The Case soundtrack. Classic joint. Reggie told the truth though. I think Danny Boy is a bit delusional. He didn't do enough to earn as much as he claims he's worth.
So u mean to tell me that in the 90's it cost 100,000 dollars just for someone that didn't even have a album out to sing The CHOURUS (Hook) on one song? That don't even add up & that was a Highway robbery smh.. U had big rappers & artist that wasn't even making that much for a feature & they were doing way more than just sing somebody else's lyrics lmao
@@lashunebrown7405 like I said, he's delusional. He sang a few hooks and wrote a couple songs. If he didn't get publishing he ain't entitled to much. Plus, as Reggie mentioned, several of the songs Danny Boy was on contained samples. So, those samples songs had to have the samples paid for to be cleared and the original song owners had to get paid. Then, even Danny admitted that Suge took care of him financially back then. So, by the time the accounting was done, you know they took that out on the books.
I like your content don’t stop!! 💋
Cell phone bills were crazy in the 90s
What about "Changed Man and Tear Drops and Closed Caskets" did. Nate ever get paid for those?
Changed Man is a Banger Song
Danny could been dropping music this whole time, he talks about being an amazing singer and he is but he doesn't do anything with it. Recording at home has been cheap, buying or leasing beats on line has been cheap getting a song mastered has been cheap get up off your ass and write and record
@King Woochi none at all, he had a name still does. How you doing interviews all the time that get numbers and your last music release was 2016 capitalize off the interviews. I get it I'd be pissed off too about all the pac shit and the money I lost but instead of dwelling on it get up and get it. Snoop and them ain't going to give this man a handout show you're about it because from the looks of his discography all I see is laziness
😆😆😆
Cheap? Are you an artist??
Reg/John. I know you explained how the Nate album went over to breakaway, but what’s the deal with the album being pressed up and ready to ship by death row? Rumours it came out for a week in Canada then pulled. I know I had it on pre order in the Uk but the shop I’d ordered it in said the album was cancelled by xmas 97. Managed to get the death row version from a friend in Canada.
@@reggiewright but why have the album pressed up and ready to ship? Must of been a bit of a loss cash wise to the label.
I think it’s remember this
John forget "Picture Me Rollin" from All Eyez On Me.
“ What’s ya phone number”, “ I ain’t mad at cha”, “ Toss it up”, “ Heaven ain’t hard to find”, and “ Picture me rollin”… all great 2 pac songs. The man deserves his money

Shiid, it doesn’t matter if people are ‘Running’ out to buy those old Danny Boy songs… The mere fact that he can mention them in Interviews could have been driving Streams & Money his way. The Game Cold. smh
Danny Boy definitely gives himself more importance to the success of Death Row than what’s deserved.
Facts, totally agree. Any r&b singer could have sung those hooks
@@brutus1712 nah
@@brutus1712 Naw bro, give the man his credit. He contributed to those songs

@@willt8848 but they didn’t choose another r&b artist they choose HIM. So they need to give him his money tf.
I seriously don’t know what you can stay bad about this man. None of his stories has been proved wrong.
Wow, Reggie was security and nothing else,if you notice he tells mostly everything that he heard because he didn't go on the road with them. That crooked cop had the radio and it sa got em and he wouldn't put security on Pac and Suge was mad. Sorry you feel that way.
I think you guys are forgetting that you did release Nate Dogg's "G Funk Classics Vol 1." It may not have had your normal distribution but it did come out, I have a copy with the "Untouchable" Death Row logo & "Me & My Homies" is on that album. One of my favorite albums... Go check it out if you haven't heard it 💯
@@quasehblake1508 The copy I have has the "Untouchable Death Row" Logo. Manufactured by Universal Music & released in 1997. It was later re-released on another label.
@@quasehblake1508 They are both legit. The Untouchable Death Row version was pressed up 1st. This has the OG artwork, the photoshoot, Executive Producer: Suge Knight, everything. You should try to copp one to add to your collection.
I got all 3 Nate Dog albums
I seen the 97 version of g funk classics. Never bought it cuz I didn’t have money at the time. But I do have the double disc version. Thump records re released the double album as separate discs with the same covers only difference is they chopped the tracks instead of letting them transition into each other like the originals so to me it sounds horrible.
I bought and still have that physical cd(s). No Untouchable DR logo is present at all. It's under a one off label called "Breakaway Records," which to my knowledge, never released another project. Great album tho. Vast majority of the songs were recorded while Nate was still a DR artist. People should definitely go download and stream it.
NOTE: Danny Boys appearance also on Picture ME Rolling with Pac. (Had to slide that in there lol!) REGGIE always explains it in a way where we can understand for real.. after hearing Reggie my brain is like, "worrrrrrrd... that actually makes sense and sounds logical"... 👌🏻 well explained regarding the state and control etc etc. 👏
@@reggiewright had to come back cos "u know who" tryna come with paperwork saying yall defrauded Pac! 🤣 in all honesty after watching it but naturally one would feel confused if didn't know the backstreet, but its kinda annoying to see the audacity of dude taking shit out of context. Death Row was cool with 2Pac during that time as well, it was quite rare/exclusive to get a feature from them
@ bomb1st/ Reggie Wright. I’ve always wanted to know this about Pac and Snoop. There’s an interview with Frank Alexander who stated that Pac and Snoops friendship started to deteriorate because Snoop was actually suppose to co-host Saturday night live with Pac however at the last minute Snoop no showed and was then replaced by Ice T. Pac became pissed off and not really wanting to mess with Snoop afterwards. Could you please confirm if this was true or was this completely false?
@@reggiewright much appreciate brotha. Also on your upcoming interviews can you provide more insight on Suge and Dre relationship? I remember hearing past interviews where ppl would say they were close friends at one point and time and that also whenever you’d see Dre then you’d see Suge as vice versa. It’s messed up how things are now but if you have any good memories of those 2 when they were homies please share if possible. ✌🏽
I like reggie Jr he keep it all the way 💯 💯💯💯 he have some great stories about them death row dayz
It's fascinating how Suge was worth more than $250M (in the 90s, mind you) yet Death Row artists are "mistaken" when they wonder how quadruple platinum/diamond albums could net them only living expenses & crumbs.
All those dudes were broke everything was in Suge's name!
who you talking about, only pac & dre, snoop had quadruple platinum albums.
