A lot of the examples in this video are a stretch at the best of times, and a complete mischaracterization at the worst of times. Just because one partner has a more dominant personality than the other, DOES NOT AUTOMATICALLY make it a BDSM relationship dynamic. Videos like this misconstrue the true dynamics of a D/s relationship and conflate the two with heteronormative tropes (that the smaller/feminine/younger of the two is more like a woman in the relationship and needs to be guided/protected by the big strong man) inherent in some BL power dynamics. The only one on this list that would actually qualify as a BDSM relationship, VegasPete, is even worse; because, from the jump, it portrays an unhealthy and toxic dynamic that gets even worse over time. And propagates the idea that, somehow, its a (somewhat) ok relationship just because Pete eventually accepts and loves Vegas, despite all the cruelty he has inflicted on him. And lets be very clear (and I say this as someone who has both been in the Kink community for more than THREE decades and as someone who knows the source material for KinnPorche religiously) There is NO "hints at a lack of consent" between Vegas and Pete. There was absolutely NO consent in the book until Pete was very much worn down to the point he just gave in, for self-preservation reasons.
