May Allah(SWT's) Peace, Blessings and Mercy be upon Sheikh Yasir Qadhi & his Team, and also the rest of the Ummah of our beloved Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). AMEEN, AMEEN, SUMMAH AMEEN.
Assalamu Alaykum Shaykh Yasir Qadhi, Mashallah, I've learned a lot from your lectures and I truly want to thank you. May Allah bless your efforts and grant you the highest place in Jannah.
I was always annoyed with the fewer views of great speaches by sheikh Yasir qadhi I think the brothers and sisters should share these videos among their circles to make Yasir qadhi more famous It's a religious duty of every Muslim who feels this man is on Truth
Zayd ibn 'Ali Zayn al-'Abidin as-Sajjad, 'aleyi as-salam :D from a Sunni. Ahl al-Bayt always fought against tyranny and hypocrisy, we should not hide them because they truly are our models.
I agree. As a Sunni, it is sad our leaders, our masjids, our Imams don’t talk much about Ahlul Bayt. Sadly, there is a lot of hate, misinformation & lies that was started by the Ummayads against Ahlul Bayt that are still alive today.
Subhanallah I was watching this episode on live stream but then had to leave for work. So glad to catch up. Keep them coming insha Allah. episode 4 soon?
Assalamu Alaykum I just want to ask the Sheikh 1. How many wives did Muhammad ibn Abi Bakr have. And 2. Who was the mother of al-Qasim ibn Muhammad ibn Abi Bakr
Asalamu Alaikum Yaa Shiekh Dr Qadir. Its great movements for me when i watching your scholarly lectures about Historical or Sirah of Prophet and Sahabas...I have great interest in subject of islamic studies.i am student of this subject from 2007.Alhamdulilah i have little bit knwledge of it. Dr sahb its your anticipation of u on me if you provide me link of Your Fiqh(islamic jurisprudence), Hadith science, Ilm al kalam snd Muslim philosphy. I am appearing for face Assistant Professor interview.....plzxxxxxxxx
Here is a question. I hope someone (i.e. Shakh Yasir or anyone in his team) does have the time to answer: You quoted the narration (see your talk minute 24:38) : Hz. Ali (ra) said "if anyone considers me better than Abou Bakr or Umar, then I will punish him the punishment of a slander" The question is: Why did he not put Uthman in this list? Why only Abou Bakr and Umar? Likewise, compare the narration about Muhammad ibn Hanafiya asking and getting the anwer form Ali (ra): " I am just a man like any other man" ) Do These Statements and anwers show that Ali had issues with Uthman? or am I reading more into his words. I would greatly appreciate an answer.
The answer is very clear if you listened to all the previous lectures that there is a clear gap between Abu Bakr's (ra) status and Umar's (ra) status, and again a clear gap between Umar's status and the next person after him. However Ali (ra) and Uthman (ra) are quite similar in their status in sunni traditions, some scholars rank Ali higher whereas other rank Uthman higher than Ali.
Hey, Does anyone know what the Zeidi Shia think of the Twelver Shia? Have they always had that opinion or has it changed over time. Many cultural groups are today influenced by modern politics and recent history, for example; Israel/Jeduaism has traditionally been tolerated under Islamic rule, indeed for long stretches of time they were the ONLY ones who supported them. Has Zeidi Shiaism been affected by recent Saudi /Iran tensions? In the past were the Zeidi's relationships with other sects different? Thank you for advice and my apologies for any misspellings or unintended offenses in the ways that I referred to everyone mentioned above.
One mistake! ... Imam Zaid bin Ali was actually going to lead a revolution against the UMMAYADS .... NOT ABBASIDS at that time Abbasids had not taken over the khilafah from the Ummayads. The Khalifa of his time was Hisham bin Abd ul Malik bin Ummaya
at 48:01 the story being shared is not about Jafar but about his father? •Urwa b. 'Abdullah reports : "Once I asked Muhammad al-Baqir about ornamental ion of swords. He replied that there was no harm in it since Abu Bakr al-Siddiq had also done it'. I rejoined: 'You also call him al-Siddiq'. He got up immediately and facing the Qibla said: "Yes, I call him al-Siddiq and whoever does not recognise him as al-Siddiq, may God not make him truthful in this world and the hereafter.
Sheikh... It seems that there is a factual error towards the end of this lecture. You say that it's Abubakr (ra) that Ali envied and wanted to have a similar record for himself.. Is it not Umar (ra) that he envied and wanted to have the same record of as his.. You begin the next lecture by saying Ali wanting to have Umer''s record.. I am a little confused..
I noticed that too. This is why I say “scholars” are great & we can benefit & learn from them a great deal. However, it is also important not to take everything they say as 100% accurate. It is ok to question or doubt.
I think if the subject is about Ali then let us not drag the other topic in it we do not care who think a what they all are pious to us ,we are not here to convince some hate mongers.
Abu Bakr, Omar and Uthman were good sahaba. But they did usurp the caliphate of imam Ali (a.s.) If you believe that Imam Ali (a.s) was the BEST SAHABA, which majority Sunnis do, then why wasn’t it his time?? 😂 As in why wouldn’t the prophet make the BEST SAHABA his successor?
Sheikh please I love your theology tangents! Wallah it's so interesting don't feel shy in dishing out the knowledge!
+Bj Gas I agree, I enjoy them too (:

All rightly guided are our role model no distinction between them because they were chosen by Allah to be parter of our rasullulah s.a.w
Of course ! They all are our models, but I was focusing on the specials merits of Ahl al bayt in front of tyranny, even if it means suffering.
I agree. As a Sunni, it is sad our leaders, our masjids, our Imams don’t talk much about Ahlul Bayt. Sadly, there is a lot of hate, misinformation & lies that was started by the Ummayads against Ahlul Bayt that are still alive today.
