What!! 2 fish on one line!! How awesome!! You and Dwayne did great out there!! Another great video! Havnt caught a striper in a while now might go out there soon now🤙
Thank you! Yes, I will be doing a catch and cook soon using the mini stove. Just need to find a good location where I don’t have to hike too far to bring the pan, oil, salt/ pepper, bread or rice. I’m thinking perhaps @ special events beach but just want to let you know I’m working on it.
Hi Peter, This was one of your best! I looked for landmarks to find your spot but didn't recognize any except the crane in the background. Facing the marina, do you go off to your right following the contour of the lake? (around the right side of the marina) You say that you walk 10 to 15 mins? I noticed that when you left the area, the contour of the ground was pretty steep? Any other directions you could give me? I have your info. on the watch and directions to the park (Hemenway Valley Park). OK, all for now. Later... George Bonafino
Hi George, I’m glad you liked it. So we parked at the bottom of Boulder Harbor and walked along the left side. We walked another 100 yards or so from the corner and fished just before the water intake tower. There was a little flat beach area. Yes it was a little steep and very rocky so be sure to wear good shoes and be careful.
Thank you for subscribing 🙏 I really appreciate it. I’m still learning how to improve my videos and if you have any suggestions I’m always open for ideas.
Sure thing. I usually go out Saturdays or Sundays depending on my son’s schedule. I have a few obligations in January but February looks good if that works for you. Lmk. Thank you 🙏
Usually you can catch stripers early morning and late afternoon but once the sun is up and the temperature rise they seem to go to deeper waters, making it tough to catch from shore. People also fish at night with green light but I haven’t tried it yet. Thanks.
I usually use a Carolina Rig (no bobber) and wait for the fish to find the bait. If there is wind using a bobber, it is challenging to keep your bait in a spot. With a Carolina Rig, l usually use a 3/4 oz barrel weight and tie to a snap swivel. Then I have my leader with 2 hooks below the snap swivel. I’ve been using 12-14 lbs line on my reel with 20 lbs. leader w/ size 4 or size 6 circle or Octopus hooks. I hope this helps. I need to edit 3 or 4 videos but I’ll make sure to include the set up next time I go out. Thanks for watching. 🙏
Here’s the limit here in Nevada: 5 trout, 6 black bass, 25 catfish and 15 crappie. No limit on striped bass less than 20 inches total length. The daily limit on striped bass 20 inches in length or longer is 20 fish. I hope this helps. Thank you for watching. 🙏
There is no sign. Just stay on the left of the harbor. Once you reach the main lake the bank will bend towards the left. Continue for few hundred yards and you should see the old water tower. I know the water level went up since my last video there so not sure how the bank looks now but you should be able to find a spot to fish. Some spots are very rocky so be sure to wear good shoes.
That was at Boulder Harbor. The white thing is a simple rod holder as the grip on my white pole was too big for the cheap coiled rod holder. I simply forced the white rod holder over the small rod holder. Since this video, I have screwed it on to a permanent steel rod. I hope this helps.
I need to edit 3 more outings but my laptop died and is in the shop 🥲 I’ll keep adding new content as soon as I get my computer back. I’m happy to hear my videos are helping you. Thank you for watching 🙏
The harbor is still closed but you can park and walk to several spots just outside the harbor. If the water level goes up a little more they maybe able to reopen. If they do I will make a video to let everyone know. I like it here as it doesn’t get too busy even on the weekends. I appreciate you watching my video. 🙏
I’ve been buying them at Walmart but I know they’ve been out recently. So, alternative option would be Sunset Market and Liquor at 1000 E Lake Mead Parkway. Their price is a bit higher but they are open 24 hours. I hope this helps.
Sharing is caring. That's what happens when you share . You catch fish. Great vidz. Keep up the great vidz.
Thank you 🙏 I will keep sharing. Although I may not keep catching but I sure will try.

Great job Peter! It was really awesome getting out there with you again. Looking forward to it again!
Can't wait!
Shakas Blue Hand!
Great video as always, would love to see you do a catch and cook with that mini stove. Happy holidays 🙏🏽

@@Busydad maybe hatchery cove?
Yes, that would be my second choice just because it gets busy on the weekends when I usually fish but I could do it on a weekday too.

Wow, your a buddy making him coffee. We'll have to fish together and I fish the afternoon and drink Coors light. On ice please 😅
No problem. If we go out together I’ll have your ice cold beer ready. 😉
I’d love to go out with y’all some day, I’m new to the area and would love to add a stripper to the list of species I’ve caught

@@Busydad I will definitely let you know!

Do stripers bite off shore all day? You guys made that look easy

I am new to fishing. Can you make a video on how to set up your line for bank fishing? Is it a bobber you use or different weights?

Hello from Alaska, what's the limit fish ( srippers) per person? And the catfish limit? Thanks keep on fishing!!!

By the way I like how you do your videos, is the water intake going to have a sign or something I should be looking for on the ground or in the water?
There is no sign. Just stay on the left of the harbor. Once you reach the main lake the bank will bend towards the left. Continue for few hundred yards and you should see the old water tower. What’s the location sir and what’s that white thing hold the fishing pole on the ground plz .

@@Busydad thanks a lot ! I am a beginner, your video helps a lot ! Please keep uploading new fishing videos:)

Is boulder harbor actually fishable? 1983 last time i fished on the sand bar on the very end little island.

What side of the harbor are you on? If your standing at Captain jacks fishing or the end of the road looking at the water, do you go left or right
From the parking facing the water, I go on the left side (towards the water intake tower). I hope that helps.
Where do you buy the anchovies???
I’ve been buying them at Walmart but I know they’ve been out recently. So, alternative option would be Sunset Market and Liquor at 1000 E Lake Mead Parkway. Their price is a bit higher but they are open 24 hours. I hope this helps.
What were you catching them on?
All on frozen anchovies. Simple Carolina Rig with 2 hooks. I use 1/2 of anchovy on each hook. I hope this helps.
@@Busydad Thank you bro 💪🏽
You’re welcome. Good luck to you.
2 hooks each rod? 4 hooks in the water per fisherman? is this legal? what setup is this I would like to try...
Yes, each licensed angler can have 2 poles and each pole can have up to 2 hooks. I use a Carolina rig with 2 hooks tied as a T knot. Hope this helps.
