Why do we seem to want to make everything about us? What you are teaching is so logical, yet most of the evangelical church teaches differently. Why?

I think that it stems, at least in part, from our need for significance. We look for significance in the fallacy that we are part of futuristic and dramatized prophetic events (i.e., the Bible prophecies are about “us”). Actually, they are-but in a different way. Ephesians 3:10 tells us that “through the church the manifold wisdom of God is being manifested unto the principalities and powers (rulers and authorities) in heavenly places.” Unfortunately, for many, what Christ has historically done for us through his cross, his resurrection, and his gift of the Holy Spirit to empower us to carry out the gospel mission isn’t enough. Just a thought.
