Lost in a place

Surrounded by pillars that reach for the sky
An endless city that runs away from time
I breach the stratosphere
On telomeres of circuitry
And under these colorless skies
Where nothing survives

Heike is the Standard by which I judge vocalists by. No one has come close yet. She has the innate ability to transport me into another world. Angelic is the one word that I can use to describe her. Mikes musical skill is just the icing on the cake. Bravo for such an ethereal experience :) 10/10 for me. I can listen to this over and over and never tire of it.

We actually have been talking about ways we could make a Brazilian or South American show happen someday, maybe hiring musicians locally there and spending a week or so practicing...two people are a lot easier to fly over than a whole band, and since it's just us two it would be easier to pull off. So one way or another, we definitely see Brazil on the cards on day!

Discovered Aeon Rains a few months ago and it has become one of my favorite songs of the year (some 100 Spotify stream counts are probably me lol). This new mix feels in the best ways; like a doomed star confidently exploding rather than drowning in the emptiness of space in the old version.

First listen I did in the car intently listening. I liked it but it fell a little flat.
When I got home I put it on repeat as background music while I sit on the patio with the dogs, watching the sunset and writing some poetry of my own.
I tuned in and out as it would draw my attention, and intrigue me. It’s a really nice album. Love it.

I got goose bumps listening to Back In Time while driving at night on an empty road under stars. This album gives more and more with each listening. I never heard anything like it before. Atmospheric doom meets cosmos. It is so unique and well done.

First listening - instantly fall in love with that deep and atmospherically well composed piece of music
Superb album that I found exactly the right time. I've finally got around to turning a rough plot outline, list of characters and some snippets into an actual book. This kind of otherworldly and dark, yet far from hopeless music fits the mood with almost machined precision. Despite stiff competition, Strata currently holds the pride of place on my playlists.

I first discovered Heike through Draconians Under a Godless Veil album. And the vocals don't disappoint. And yes in a way it sounds as if her voice transcends this reality into the next. I mean, she did mention the concepts in the cosmos before in her interviews and through her music.
