This is exactly the information I was looking for. I appreciate that you separated the info about the mechanitors and the gene-stuff because I'm not interested in the mechs quite yet. I have like 6 or 7 babies in the Rim right now because I want to see how many will be had if i don't sterilize my pawns. Anyway, I've been bummed because my highmate has only had baseliner kids and I am here to learn why, or at least what I can do to change that, so thank you. edit: literally got all the answers I wanted, ty again
Very helpful video thanks dude, if you ever feel like it I'd love a video on the different endgames, I usually just build the spaceship and leave but the one where you have to build 3 colonies and hand them over each time you reach a certain wealth level is interesting.

Haha, I woke up this morning with the thought that I forgot this: The genes can be used infinitely often. You can create new Xenogerms as often as you want out of the stuff in the bank
Got one question, can you cuatomize the Germline after the game has started?. I've been experimenting a bit with the DLC, but other than installing Xenogenes (a one time thing), there's no way to create a genetically engineered pawn, with a custom germline that can be passed down to it's descendants.
You can slap on new genes on an existing Sanguophage, but he will only pass down his Sanguophage Genes if you do the Transfer. It seems like you have to make a Xenogerm every time you want to apply new genes to somebody. I experimented in the Sandbox and there was no downside of chain applying several Xenogerms to the same person (after waiting out the cooldowns of course). So you can add one kind of extra traitline to your Sanguophage now, and modify it later. Or add other Genes cause you found new. But inheritance was so far only a thing I managed to do in the Xenotype Editor.

are you able to remove forced trait genes like a wasters ugly? I have a waster that has a normal trait beautiful but forced trait ugly that cancels it, wondering if I can take it off her
I have a question, how can I make a race with heritable AND nonheritable genes. I’m trying to make a race that asexually reproduces, but only the first one can do it. Think ant colony. How can I do this?
Yes you can, but you'll need Archite Capsules (Not 100% bout the name tho) to apply those genes to somebody. Those Capsules or however they are called are Trader stuff, Quest reward and such.
