This video is the best thing ever when you are high. The absolute enthusiasm in explaining that vacuum was riveting. And then the music comes swinging in grabbing your mind to bring you on an adventure. An adventure with ups and downs, starting optimistically and becoming rocky further in. Then hope comes and we conquer world! Man explaining vacuums has never felt so epic.
Thank you so much for all the information and demonstractions. I was leaning on this model as I have zero carpet, rugs, upholstery or curtains due to allergies. Now I feel comfortable with my decision.
Also the same as any other canister cleaner that uses bags the pre motor filter is at the back so any bagged canister vacuum will pull the dirt to the back of the bag, what this guy doesn’t explain is that the synthetic material of the bag doesn’t clog like traditional paper bags but still retains more dirt than a paper bag the synthetic material allows the airflow to carry on being pulled the bag due to the fact the pores don’t clog as quickly, this also means that although the dirt is pulled to the back of the bag right in front of the pre motor filter there is still airflow that flows through the various layers of the bag so if the back of the bag is clogged on the first layer the air flow will still surround the rest of the bag through the second and third layers so the bag can still breath
I’m having a hard time deciding between the C3 Homecare (Marin) vs the Homecare Plus (Brilliant) - I can live without the “convenient” handle controls for suction, however, how important is the AUTO suction feature on the Homecare Plus. There is no AUTO suction setting on Homecare. I figure I’ll probably be on max all the time unless I need to stop and take out the wand to do some curtains or something and at that time I could change the suction manually. OR is it a big deal that AUTO will change the suction while I vacuum. It might help performance and overall noise too??? Your guidance please between these two options and if there is another compelling reason to get the Homecare Plus I’ve over the Homecare. Also I would be getting the same power head 236 with either model. 🙏
Testing the suction on the Kirby.. the fan is clearly broken you can here how badly unbalanced it is. Plus I noticed you didn’t show the Kirby picking up the sand? And that’s probably because you know it will remove it all. Long story short the Kirby will clean better and will outlast the Miele. When I worked in a vacuum shop I changed around 5-6 Miele S8/C3 motors vs Kirby motors that just keep going. I maybe changed 2-3 armatures and that was due to people damaging the fan then continuing to use it. Plus Miele motors aren’t rebuildable as you can’t buy the parts that make up the motor. With the Kirby every part on the inside is completely replaceable and everything can be bought from screws to the armature/field coil. So Kirby is also better for the environment!
And also, suction is a pressure, not a movement. If you want a true cleaning power, you definitely need an airflow because that’s the volume of air which moves the dirt. There is a clear reason why he compared suction instead of airflow between Kirby and Miele. He definitely knows for sure that Kirby has way more airflow than the Miele. People really need to learn the difference between airflow and suction and how they affect cleaning ability!
What do you tell your customers who bring in their telescoping wand that won't hold its position? I've been using my c-3 for less than a year and the darn thing has never latched in place. I'm constantly having to extend the wand because it constantly collapses. I made the stupid mistake of barely using my vacuum the first year I owned it and now of course the wand isn't under warranty. I don't want to spend $70 on another wand that may have the same problem on arrival. MANY people have complained about this issue but Miele never addresses it, thst poor customer service. To pay $1k for a vacuum that is this annoying to use is ridiculous. I would love to see a class action lawsuit against Miele for this. Any of you considering buying one I highly recommend you do your research first. So, Creator of this video, what do you suggest the thousands of people do who own a Miele vacuum with a telescoping wand that won't stay in place?
The music does not match the content. Especially at the 53:00 mark...this isn't a military drama where the good guys plan to storm in, but may be threatened. It's vacuuming, so it needs to read, "Domestic, friendly, informative, approachable" - do not use dramatic music - the iron fist power of Miele needs velvet glove music.
Buyer beware! I just got off the phone with Miele and I was told that there are no replacement Soft Carpet heads like the one shown here when it breaks. They'll replace the SC version that you buy specifically for high end rugs and soft carpets use with a standard one that can't be used with them, the manual clearly states that the replacement Electro head unit will destroy oriental rugs and soft carpets. None of their other heads are compatible with oriental rugs and soft carpets so you'll end up with a boat anchor if you bought this model, how stupid is that Miele?
Did they state why there are no replacements? Supply issue? I was just looking online and you can buy another soft carpet head (the SEB 228) so they are available, it's just that it will cost around $200 for a new one.
sheepseaexplorer they’re similar but not the same, something about the height. We bought the standard vacuum with the same standard head and there’s a distinct warning in their manual not to use the head or the vacuum with soft carpets.

Wow the head literally vibrated even the deeply embedded sand in the carpet, out. That's insane.

Excellent video. Covered all the areas I needed covering. Doesn't compare like items though. Why not compare a canister to a canister?

Could you show the SC power setting - how does it compare to the min..max suction power scale at 17:08?
I’m watching this video & am learning a lot. I do hear music in the background, not unbearable but it is distracting.
Excellent,, except please lower the background music. It’s an unnecessary distraction.
Very excellent, informative video. One suggestion though, get rid of the music in the background. IMO, it is distracting.
Is it me, or is the crevice tool a bit short?
Please reupload this without the music.
Enough with the design and technical stuff. I've already bought it, I just need to know how to use the bloody thing!

Does this dude actually understand what injection moulding is
If he's in or near wyoming he's definitely not making his money back... might as well try to vacuum ripped 100s

Kyle Blank , they just won’t supply the SC heads on their own.
The SC version and the standard electric brush 228 head are the same. The SC version is just branded for the soft carpet vacuum.
sheepseaexplorer they’re similar but not the same, something about the height. We bought the standard vacuum with the same standard head and there’s a distinct warning in their manual not to use the head or the vacuum with soft carpets.
How durable are the heads in general?
That is the stupidest idea when that sound is loud
