It was definitely a lot in a short amount of time. We try to keep it under 300 as well but sometimes it just doesn't work out. Packing our lunch definitely helps save money and the hassle of trying to find convenient places to try to park while hitched up that's for sure. Safe travels 😊
We have a 32ft bounder pulling a crv. We drove back from quartzite AZ, to vacaville CA (629 miles) one day. Getting food in a class A easier. Thanks Don
Those long days are rough for sure. We usually try to keep them around 350 max but this trip we definitely didn't keep to that. Thanks for watching guys 😊
Living in Florida and doing trips out west, we’ll do 3-4 500 mile days then take a 2 day break. We have about the same size 5th wheel and we carry a small cooler in the truck with our lunches and drinks.
That's how we would normally do it unfortunately we had to push it this time.. definitely don't want to have to do that again. Packing our lunch is another way we try to save time and money . Thanks for watching 😊
We do pack snacks for the road. We try to make a big bag of homemade beef jerky for the road. And we bring a big bag of cheese cubes. We eat low carb these snacks work well for us on travel day
You guys are nuts doing 2K in 4 days! That's just way too long of drive days. As for lunches we pack ours as well. We'll usually his a rest area and take some time to stretch the legs and have a sandwich. We've had a lot of good luck with Harvest Host, but did have one in Michigan that billed itself as a farm that could take 40' rigs. It was someones backyard that we couldn't get our 30' travel trailer into. Why do people do that?!?!
Yes this was something we definitely won't ever do again.. we were exhausted for sure. We love doing harvest host stays, that one was definitely misleading and when I messaged them to cancel because of it they replied right away apologizing and said they just recently changed it from accepting 45+ to 40+ rigs... There is no way a 30ft would even have fit 🤷♀️ Thanks for watching guys 😊
As long as we go a steady 60+ MPH the dogs are usually happy as a clam in the back (they hate to go slow...lol so traffic jams are no fun) We got our dog sling and raised dog beds from Amazon... I linked them below . Packing snacks definitely helps keep in budget and helps not wanting to grab those gas station snacks for sure. Thanks for watching 😊 Safe travels

Was it cold in Austin??? It was 48 below here yesterday. No camping.
It was chilly, probably in the upper 50s. Thanks for watching 😊
I enjoyed the video. I would take upper 50s anytime over 48 below. Send some our way.@@thisisouradventure
We can't even imagine having those temps at all 🥶
