    Thanks Michael for this super helpful tutorial! If I had watched this video a little earlier, then I would not have completed my travel palette with a lot of colors. Indeed, your experience and recommendation contributes to the improvement of the skill in mixing and obtaining the required colors from a limited palette. I have already completed my palette with your recommended colors.

    hello Michael, Alizarin Crimson (PR83) is quite a fugitive colour (lightfast). Can i replace it with Permanent Alizarin Crimson (PR177 PV19 PR149) ? DS both. Thank you for your advice.

    • @watercoloronlinemsolovyev
      @watercoloronlinemsolovyev  2 роки тому

      You can but… will be hard to washout. That’s why I prefer Alizarin Crimson. Plus… it’s a pure primary color.

    Hello: I am unable to find your 6 pc Daniel Smith Watercolor Set. When will it be available?

    • @watercoloronlinemsolovyev
      @watercoloronlinemsolovyev  3 роки тому +1

      Hello CJ, I am not Daniel Smith distributor, but depending on your location, your art retailer websites should have it. I know it is available in online art stores in US and Australia.

    Hi, Michael.
    I have a big technique question.
    During painting, we mix the colours.
    Should I wash the brush every time when I get the colur in irder not to get it dirty?
    Because when the colour gets dirty, the following mix will be also dirty, etc
    As I noticed, you don't do it,
    So, how should I do?
    Thank you very much.

    • @watercoloronlinemsolovyev
      @watercoloronlinemsolovyev  2 роки тому

      Thanks a lot for the question, Ana.
      It only makes sense to do this if the colors you mix and the mixes you get are diametrically opposed. For example, when you switch from a green mix to a red one, or when you need to get a really clean and sonorous color. In all other cases, I don't really wash my brush. It helps me to get complex and interesting shades. Thanks.

      @@watercoloronlinemsolovyev Thank you, Michael.
      I like very much your style o painting, your grays, coloured grays.
      I can't afford for the moment to buy Daniel Smith colours, but I did exercises of mixing with my colours, from Romanian Art factory. Two 6 colours pallets. One that resembles with yours, let's say, and the other, the main primery and secondary colours. And did an exercise of painting the pine trees that I see on my window in the kitchen at my mountain cottage.
      I'll send you my work.
      Thank you again!

      I do not use a black. I prefer mix it... Most often this mix included Indigo, Perylene Violet and Quin Sienna by @Daniel Smith. If I need a really dark black I use Phthalo Blue GS + Perylene Violet.
