- Tornado warnings were issued for several Northeast Ohio counties overnight
The alert was in effect for all or part of Ashland, Ashtabula, Cuyahoga, Erie, Geauga, Lake, Lorain, Medina, Portage, Summit, Trumbull, and Wayne counties. A number of areas are still under a severe thunderstorm warning.
About 12am willoughby sounded like a train running right down river street. Never heard anything like it. Very scary.

In eastlake we couldn't even hear the storm sirens over the wind it was deafening
Reported tornado in Willoughby hitting of Lost Nation on Parkway blvd
I’m in east Geauga County in Middlefield and the tornado was 2 and 1/2 miles from us we slept through the tornado, and also lost power all morning I woke up and didn’t even know there was one until I got on my device and saw there was a tornado in Chardon and Cleveland all I heard was rain and woke up and saw my alarm was off. Tree limbs everywhere but no damage in ours Thank you guys for the advice and help or I probably wouldn’t have known. Thank the Lord that also that not a lot of places were damaged or destroyed just trees knocked stay, stay safe everyone.
My mama was in the bathroom and saw an usual sky.

I live in Twinsburg OH and we were hit very hard by the storm. Lots of trees and power lines down and many homes damaged severely.
I was camping at Kelley's Island when the storm hit. It was pure chaos. Winds took down trees and huge limbs, power went out, most of the campers (if not all) were in the restrooms waiting it out.
First confirmed tornado in Cuyahoga County since Brecksville back in 1989. I'm in Willowick here, as soon as the alert went off not even 5 seconds after telling everyone and getting my shoes on it all roared in. You could hear the wind in the apartment building, we all ran for the basement, others felt their units shaking and fearing further collapse fears (as we've had structural problems and a collapse with part of our building that everyone has been hearing about). Then in the basement we heard a very loud noise (turned out our collapsed garage collapsed further).
I live in Parma and only 30 minutes after a severe thunderstorm warning ended up on my TV, I eventually got an iPhone alert (typically an Amber Alert) for a Tornado Warning and I had to get my pets downstairs, but they chose to be unsafe! I heard the wind on the way to the basement from inside and I was a bit scared.
I got a tornado warning in Canton, OH at 12:38am and it supposedly expired at 12:30am. It became super windy, lightening and heavy rains 2 minutes before the alert
Got a warning in mentor, one of the trees In my yard is down in several pieces, but somehow didn’t hit my house. We still don’t have power.
This is really remarkable Cleveland hasn't had a tornado since 1954 since the tornado hit hit over by Cleveland Hopkins airport back in1954 69 years ago when three people were killed

Willoughby had a tornado idk if it was confirmed yet but just next to downtown willoughby we as in my family friends and I all noticed something different ab this storm than any other storms it went right through my driveway
I heard this roar in Stow. Was it a tornado or down burst??

Took out our monster trees we were terrified swear it was tornado in mentor
Scary stuff, thankfully no downed trees over here in trum. Power is still out though
i live in madison and we had trees down in our front yard and in our woods it was unbelievable
The NWS confirmed that there was a tornado that affected parts of Willoughby in Mentor. It was an EF1 with winds up of 110 miles per hour.

Cool, cool, the tornado just nearly flattened the group home I’m working in about an hour ago in South Russel, having spawned half a mile from where my wife and child were sleeping at home. Gee thanks.

@@vikingraider8061 I got to work about thirty seconds before the sirens and my phone went ballistic, I ran inside so fast I ripped a nail clean off and threw my clients into the bathroom, texting my wife back and forth I love her and to take my kid and hide in the closet at home. They made it through fine in Warrensville (a few blocks from the initial warning starting point), it was projected to hit SR at 12:15. Well God damn, at 12:14:47 the power slammed out, this immovable brick shithouse shook, and I think I heard the Death Choochoo pass over us like God in the land of Egypt. Guess I can say I survived a tornado dropping on my head…
