This worked well for a VVX 411, however trying to duplicate on a vvx 310 and it seems DHCP is the devil in the details preventing communication to properly provision. Even with a static IP our DHCP does not allow the phone to pickup the IP with or without a reservation.
Is there a way to add your coworkers to the display screen on the vvx to see if they are on the phone or not? (We don't necessary need to see presence on the phone line) Thanks
I am trying to gain access to the Polycom CX 600 using the IP address however for whatever reason it gives me an error message saying that the page could not be found. Can I do this method on Polycom CX 600 phone said if so is there anyway you can help me gain access to the internal settings through the phones IP address.
Polycom seems to indicate their VVX 311 devices can work with this method, however so far the one I've tested on has continually rebooted with errors after changing the provisioning server.
I don't see that on the supported list of devices. Bookmark this link and check it every so often to see if it gets added. learn.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoftteams/sip-gateway-plan#compatible-devices
Can you tell me how to get the corporate phone book to appear on the phone once it's been signed in to Teams? I have Poly VVX 250 phones. I've asked Dr Google but I've found nothing. Poly's own documentation is horrific.
Thanks for the video Michael! I’m trying the same with a Cisco 8845; and did everything you just did, but my phone never auto-login after entering the code in the website; and the device shows as offline in Teams Admin Portal 🤔
The first time I tried the sign in, the phone sat there for what felt way too long. So I rebooted, got a new code, and then it worked. I figure it's a hiccup as this is still a brand new service.
@@flinchbot yeah, tried that already, several times! No luck. Funny thing is that line show as “registered” in the Phone Status itself. But can’t make any calls
Yes you can. There are DHCP options that can be set to help automate this. docs.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoftteams/sip-gateway-configure#set-the-sip-gateway-provisioning-server-url
@@flinchbot Thanks for you reply. I can upgrade the device remotely. but My problem is I don't have anybody onsite to help me to find the devicelogin code on the device. I need to get that code on web UI to make the sign in and help us to press *55*xxxxxx on the device if needed.
@@junyanli9869 You have to have one person on the remote end to finish this config. That shouldn't be a problem because someone has to actually connect the phone to the network, so just have them hang around to help with the provisioning.
What a life saving tutorial this has been!! Was struggling to get the sign in sorted all along. Love you Mike!!! And thank you!!
Aha, the SIP policy was the bit that I was missing - thanks for posting!
Great tutorial! It did the trick for my Polycom XVV 201.
I am unable to login on polycom vvx-300
@@tariqshahzad8126 did you get it working? I also have a vvx300 and it's not signing in
