I will!
Yea I’ll be going in October also and I’m hoping there’s a tiny bit of warmth also. Packing sweaters and such take up more space in the luggage 😂
I’m going beginning of November would love an autumn/fall what to wear please 😊
Love your tips. Will you be doing a summer video as well? I will be there mid June.💛💙
Thank you! I definitely will. I've done one for Greece last year, so this year it's Italy time
@@StayFabulousTL June please
I LOVE your outfit!!!!😍
Thank you!!😊
Firstly, Thank you for all your wonderful videos. We are travelling from S.A. to Switzerland - Interlaken and then travelling via train to Venice then Florence and finally to Rome 29 April to 2 May. so this is sort of April and May. So we will I hope have great weather at this time
I'm going to have to buy a whole new wardrobe before my trip in June!
Why not to do it in Italy?!
@@StayFabulousTL Mostly because I'm awkward and uncomfortable in everything I wear and it's going to take me months to find something I think I can pull off.
Oh no! Only positive words about yourself🤗 Most people have trouble shopping for themselves because they don't know what works best for their body type, etc. So they either don't buy anything, always buy the same things or buy something that does not work for them. If you have trouble shopping for yourself, which is a majority of people, then I definitely recommend hiring a stylist. If they are good, it will be a life-changing experience.
Love your channel and great style tips! Can you tell me where you got your green linen shirt from? Looks like a beautiful quality brand!
Thank you so much! I got that shirt from a boutique is Paros, Greece. Unfortunately, they don't sell online and the only two ways to purchase is either by going there in person or through a personal shopper.
Hi. I just watched your video and am impressed with your enthusiasm and suggestions. Do you have a printed packing list you can share? I type a list of all items that I pack and want to compare it. Getting ready...well ahead of time...for our one-week Southern Italy trip next month. Excited! I check the weather and adjust items, as needed. We toured Northern Italy five years ago. Fabulous country! Cathy from PA (USA)
The video I’ve been looking for. Thank you!
Yay!
I like love linen!!
Same same
Thank you for your tips and videos. Planning to travel in march. I was wondering if you have any suggestions to fit everything in one suitcase for one month with room for take home items ? 🤯
Thank you!
Thank you
My pleasure!
Hi Anastasia. I have just discovered your channel as we are planning our first trip to Greece. Thank you so much for all of the info you have put together. You are very lovely to listen to and watch and it’s informative also! I have had a question that I’ve always wondered about and I thought maybe you would be able to give some in-site on. I have often over the years seen vlogs about what we should and should not wear in Italy or France or other country in Europe and I understand not wanting to stick out as a tourist because of safety but I don’t really get why we need to all have the same style. I was watching another blogger a few weeks ago giving the same advice and interestingly there were quite a few Europeans speaking up and saying that they thought it was inappropriate to be telling people from other countries how to dress in their country and that they didn’t care. They just wanted them to feel welcome. It seems to me as far as I know that Americans don’t typically tell Europeans how they need to dress to fit in here. I think it would come off offensive actually! Of course I get sharing your wonderful knowledge of style and I love learning it. But I take what fits for me. I’m truly not trying to be critical but asking for your thoughts on this. I have actually never left a comment before on all the UA-cam channels I follow. Lol!
Lisa, thank you for your kind words and for sharing your thoughts with me. I do value it a lot. I don't know the reason why other youtubers create these type of videos as I can only speak for myself. If you look in the comments under this video or any other video that I made, you will find dozens of people asking me what they should pack or wear in Italy for any given season. I am sure everyone has a different reason for it: some are asking for safety reasons, some - because they really want to follow "fashion rules" of that particular country, some - for curiosity. I always tell everyone that they should wear something they truly love and feel confident in.
I personally love to play with different looks and whenever I travel to a different country, I always want to dress up in style of that particular place. It does not mean that I want to look the same. You can have your own unique style and at the same time dress up in the way that people do in London, Rome, Paris etc.
great video , thanks. Does this apply to Sicily too ? Any different info for traveling to Sicily in May ?
Hi Anastasia, I really like the coat you're wearing at 3:22. Would you share where you got it? Visiting Italy in April! Thank you!
Love your video 🎉 greetings from your former homeland, North Carolina. I agreed with everything you said here. Most North Americans are all about comfort and not style at all. I’m originally from Colombia SA and 32 years ago when I arrived here I was in shock 😮. Now I’m used to it but I do not wear “leisurewear” everyday all the time. I like yo wear classic, comfortable clothes. Since you recommended Linen, I have been looking to buy nice dresses and pants for my trip to Italy on May but it’s not been easy. I will keep searching for it. Thank you again for your videos.
Claudia, thank you for your kind words! I hear you - when I moved to NC I was also in shock. I remember dressing up even to go to the grocery store haha! Then you get used to it. If you need linen clothes for your trip - please send me an email: stayfabulousbyag@gmail.com I will be able to help you with that. Warmest greetings to NC!
What type of hat would you recommend for big cities? I have a fedora style “straw” hat that is tightly woven and it doesn’t have raw edges…
As an Indian we love Linen and cotton . So breathable and light❤
LOVE linen!
Would like a video on examples of what you wear in the spring for the day and evening.
Hi Bridget! I share lots of outfit ideas for day and evening in my shorts, spring including.
YES!
Coming in mid April till first week May starting in Sicily and working our way up to Salerno to explore Almafi area and then fast train to Roma. Planning on mostly black slacks, maybe a skort for warm southern days? Would you suggest a blue denim jacket with black jeans and black ponte or go more with maroon rain coat and layers ? Maybe even a black quilt vest , not puffer but Jcrew ?
Love your content! I have a fashion question: is animal print worn much in Italy? I have a silk leopard print skirt that I wondered about packing for May.
Thank you! Yes, you can definitely wear animal prints. It's all about how you wear them. If its the right occasion and you to pair it well - absolutely!
@@StayFabulousTL Okay, that's great to hear! Thanks for the reply.
Do you recommend wearing knee high boots in Italy in March? Or will it weird the locals out? Your video has been really helpful! Thank you so much for this!
Thank you Joyce! At the very beginning of March you can still do it, but towards the end of the month, I would not.
Love your channel. Leaving for Italy soon. Can you wear white denim jeans with black, grey tops? No crazy bright colors on top? Thank you!
Thank you Amy! You definitely can match white denim jeans with pretty much any color. And remember - the greater the contrast, the more eye-catching the look ;)
About linen: It’s from a plant, just like cotton. There is high-quality cotton fabric (like Pima) and cheaper cotton. Same with linen. (And silk.) Once you buy a good linen garment, you will understand and love linen! ❤️
Exactly! Thank you Ronda😘
Please an autumn/fall what to wear please 😊
It will be on my UA-cam next week! Promise😉
Full video on What to wear in summer please
Yes, working on it!
Bro whatttt that blew my mind haha I am from the US and I have to say that linen and cotton are two of the best materials to wear. They are all natural and very breathable!
I’m an American and I love linen 😂
🙌
I'm going to Florence in April so now i know what to wear.
April in Italy is incredible! Have the most special time
Where did you get the light blue shorts? They’re spectacular!
Loved your video! I will be in Italy (yay for me) May 11-22. Starting in Turin and then on to Florence, the Amalfi coast and ending in Rome. I have always been more of a casual dresser. (jeans, capris, etc.) When dining out is it okay to wear casual clothing? Are sleeveless tops okay when touring?
Isn’t it exciting! I’ll be in Italy from April 30 to May 16, starting out in Rome, then Amalfi Coast, next is Florence and ending up in Cinque Terre before going to Nice, France. I believe your weather will be warmer than when I arrive. From what I understand short sleeves are fine just as long as you’re not touring a religious site where you will need something to cover your shoulders (like a scarf/shawl) and your knees (jeans/capris). I’ve watched a lot of walking tours in Italy, including evenings where people are seen eating outside, casual is everywhere, I don’t think you’ll need to worry about having to dress up. 😊
Thank you Donna! Sleeveless tops are ok as long as you are not entering churches ( definitely have something with you to cover the shoulders while you are there.) As far as the dress code, casual is fine as long as you are not going to a place that requires a more formal dress code. Have the most special time!
I’m going to Rome in sept. Will you do a video abt this?
I definitely will! Great month to visit Rome by the way ;)
Thank you
I'll be there the last 2 weeks of April
To bad I'll miss you bday
You'll love Italy in April! Have the most special trip
Hi there. Thanks for the great tips. We are headed to Rome in April-June. I would like to bring my black Satin skirt (mid calf length). Is it appropriate to wear a black satin skirt in Rome in Spring?
You can definitely wear it during the evening in June!
Can you make.a video on what men should wear in Italy during May
What should I bring to wear to the Italian open tennis in May?
Hello, As you know we are traveling to Rome on September 18 through September 24 of this year from New York. What is the weather like at that time is it like New York City? Also what are good men's clothing stores there like vintage and thrift shops? New Yorkers and Romans dress pretty much a like which is great. : )
September weather is usually a perfection! Temperature is around 76°F, rarely falling below 70°F. It does get a bit cooler in the evenings, so make sure to bring something warmer for the evening time.
What kind of hat do you recommend? I need the sun protection....
You used a line from the Beatles: 🎶 All we are saying -- is give Linen a chance 🎵
I bought Linen shirts in Roma and wore them, and loved them!
They were comfortable, cool, and I loved that they tapered subtly at the waist which American ones NEVER do.
And linen shirts last way more than cotton shirts.
YES🙌 Once you wear linen in the summer, you will not want to wear anything else. And yes, linen in Europe is a different story...
How about the prices for linen shirts?
Going two weeks starting may second week.
Do i need more warm clothes? Or can i wear some dresses and shorts? What kind of jackets?
Milan venice Florence rome amalfi
What’s the weather like in early September? Is layering still a good idea?
In early September it's usually still hot during the day. It does get a bit chilly at night. I recommend to bring mainly summer clothes and something to throw on top for the evenings.
Hi! New subscriber here! Is a denim jacket ok for April? Thanks
Yes, absolutely! Welcome to the channel!
Hello!! I am watching this and I am listening to what you are saying about hats - I have very fair skin and contemplated wearing a hat each day I am outside. I also get sunburned very easily through my hair - I don’t want to look like a tourist but what would you suggest?
Hmmm, you can always wear what's trending for hats that particular year, like a bucket hat this year. Of course, this is just if you don't want to stand out as a tourist. Otherwise, wear whatever you like!
Would love to buy formal hip length warm coat … which shop/ brand do you advice?
We are coming to Italy April 12th. Rome first, Tuscany next, and then Amalfi Coast. What is your advice on clothes?
I have a video for that! Here is a link: ua-cam.com/video/nDi_f3PkXnU/v-deo.html
@@StayFabulousTL is it the same video what to wear in spring ?
Really random but how are the mosquitoes in May? Mosquitos tend to like me and I don’t want them to ruin my trip! I will definitely be bring bug spray with DEET! Thanks😄
Honestly, it depends how warm it gets in May but I wouldn't say it's bad. To be honest, mosquitos can care less about me (I think it depends on your blood type.) But yea, definitely bring something just in case.
Okay! Yeah I plan to go to Italy next month so let’s hope it’s not too bad!
What type of shoes are popular in Italy? I need to buy some good shoes for walking but do not want to stick out as a tourist!!
My wife and I are going to Rome, Florence, and Sorrento in April. We have been watching your videos. Any chance of getting some suggestions for what men can wear in Italy. Thanks
Hi Thomas! I recently did a video on Italian men style. Hopefully, that should give you a few ideas ua-cam.com/video/SoidvfZiRjo/v-deo.html
You mention not to wear a straw hat but I have light sensitivity and need to shade my eyes from the sun. What do you suggest sine I should not wear a ball cap either.
We are going to Florence in July. What do I pack? Carry on only
It's going to be hot. I would pack 2-3 summer dresses, t-shirts, bermuda shorts, sunglasses, sandals, a pair of tennis shoes and something to cover your shoulders for churches.
We are going to be traveling all around Italy from late August to mid September. How do you suggest packing? Thank you!!
Hi Jackie! I will make a video for summer packing!
@@StayFabulousTL perfect! I have subscribed to the channel and can’t wait to see what you suggest!
Hi! What type of jacket is good for end April/ Early May in Italy? :)
Denim or bomber jacket :)
@@StayFabulousTL Thank you so much!
Thank you for the tips. I'm going to Milan in 5 days - Is it possible to I get the green pass before my trip
Thanks.
Miriam, depending on where you will be traveling from and your citizenship, most likely you can just show a "green pass" from your country, no need to get an Italian one.
I saw that there was a resale shop near my BnB, are those places pretty good for fashion?
To be honest, it depends on the store.
During hot summer day I would recommend not to wear leather belts, because sometimes they could stain your shirt if you're a person who sweats a lot, and replacing it with a cordura belt, a golf player belt.
Exactly! Excellent specification👌
Loved all of the tips!
Headed to the Amalfi Coast at the end of April- would dresses / shorts be okay then? Solid colors rather than floral prints?
Thank you Kim! Of course, we might have an unusually warm spring, but I would bring a good mix, especially for the evening time. A bit too early for florals, but if that's what you prefer- absolutely.
Where do I find those cute linen bermuda shorts you have on in this video?
Are heydude shoes popular in Italy? They kinda look like sherry shoes!
Hi Jamee! I would not say they are popular but yes you can wear them.
I would launch a petition to reintroduce vests; like those wonderful vests men and women wore under their jackets until the beginning of the last century.
Nice green jacket and shirt with cute different patterns. Nice effect.
As you know, I am a HUGE fan of vests. Love them! Where do I sign?!😉
@@StayFabulousTL 😄
A, how is the weather in Florence and Rome, going to be there in the middle of September, having been watching your videos and taking in all the information, not found what to wear in September, please would really appreciate all your help re information, thank you
I will be filming that video this week, but pretty much mid September the temperatures are still very warm. During the day it feels like summer months. I would bring something light for the evening times, like a light cardigan. Definitely no coats or thick sweaters necessary.
@@StayFabulousTL A, thank you so much for your help, very kind of you to get back to me!!! Just seeing the weather next week going to lowest of 11-12 degrees is getting me all paranoid, have packed a couple of trousers, jeans, blouses, t shirts and even dresses(is it dress weather still) also a denim jacket, biker jacket, blazer and a couple of cardigans. Please could you let me know if it’s appropriate, thank you once again for all your help!
Happy to help. To be honest, I am not sure where you saw 11-12 degrees as it is still full-blown summer here. Everyone is still in shorts, linen shirts, summer dresses and t-shirts. Maybe bring one cardigan or a light jacket for the evening, but I would definitely leave denim jacket and a biker jacket at home.
Hello, from a fellow Taurus!
Hello!!👋
hi! i had a quick question im going to italy in may and i was wondering how long should the shorts be?
Hi! I would do Bermuda shorts for this time of the year.
@@StayFabulousTLok thank you so much!
My husband and I will be coming to Italy april 2 for two weeks. We will be bringing my 87-year-old FIL and 16 and 23-year old daughters. I don’t know what to pack in only a carryon bag. Help!
I am going to rome this Saturday it is too sad it's going to rain a lot. any tips for for to pack?
I know! And it's my Birthday. But no worries, a lot of times it does not rain all day. I wouldn't bring anything special. If you do not want to stand out as a tourist, definitely no clear rain coats. Just an umbrella and a trench coat for the evening time.
@@StayFabulousTL happy birthday fabulous🎉
Thank you so much!
Are umbrellas in the big cities acceptable on sunny days?
You can certainly bring one. Italians don't use them, but I saw a lot of tourists using them (I don't blame them, it is HOT, especially this year)
HAPPY BIRTHDAY IN MAY BELLA BELLA + + + + + +
Thaaaaank you!
Does anyone know of great vintage clothing stores for men in Rome?
Coming to Milan and Venice next week. It says rain all week 😢😢😢
Yes, unfortunately the weather this spring is unlike any other year.
We’re traveling 1st 10 days of May, if we use clear raincoats would it scream us being tourists???
Hi Rose! Unfortunately, yes. Very much so. Italians use umbrellas.
What do you suggest for purses/bags in Spring? I'm guessing backpacks scream tourist
If it's a nice backpack, you can definitely bring one. You'll see lots of Italians wearing backpacks, especially nice leather ones.
Is a puffy coat okay to wear in April
It depends on where in Italy. In Rome, for example, you definitely will not need a puffy coat in April.
You can wear anything, you are so beautiful , not all of us can wear what you wear 😅
You are kind, thank you Jackie. I don't suggest wearing things that I wear because everyone has their own unique style. What I recommend is a general information for things to pack for Italy and then everyone has to apply it to their own wardrobe.
hi! my boyfriend and i are coming to italy for the first time next month (march 2023). do you feel the tips suggested in your video from last year in terms of how to dress appropriately weather wise still apply this year?
Yes, absolutely. Just please keep in mind that March weather is a bit unpredictable, so even though last March it was already super warm, it does not mean that this year it will be the same. A nice mix of clothes for March is always the way to go.
Awesome thank you! 😊
Please share a vlog about traveling in Italy on Holy Week.. Pros and Cons
Great idea! Will do
