Unfortunately this pattern is consistent across the world. For example, the lenghtvof time tge establishment resisting awarding a pattent for color TV to a Mexican Engineer who rightfully was entitled tobit or refused to award military honors on Hispanic and Indigenous Servicemen. However it is a misnomer, in my opinion because it is not truly Eurocentrist since it also discounts the value, significance or achievements of early or subjugated European ethnicities such as the Basque or Sami. Insisting even yoday in classifying them as primitive. It also seeks to invalidate even the achievements of it's own ancestry, often downplaying the sophistication of Ancient Greece for example. Further this attitude is not only found among White European Academics, Hawas in Egypt is a prime example of complicity with this biased approach to history.
