When Soldiers Under Command first came out I was Stryper CRAZY!!!! I love this entire album. It still makes me feel good when I hear it. I never liked christian music before this album came out. I was sooooo happy to finally find a christian band that rocked! Up until then, the best I could find was Petra. They were ok, but I needed a little more kick.
In my opinion stryper had all the talent to become a successful worldly metal band, to sing about worldly things, they chose to glorify God, I give them credit for that!
Their individual talent in the band were absolutely superior to most metal bands from the 80s...Michael Sweets vocal ability even today is like it was 1986...and nobody was doing vocal harmonies with all members singing together to the caliber that Stryper was.

I am a 43 year old man who grew up on Stryper, now, my daughter who is 10 is so in love with them also! This is her favorite song! I thank God that this is what she wants to listen to instead of all the trash that is out there today. Praise God!
