Can you a casting distance test between spinning reels and baitcasting reels? Just use 2 idetical cheap spinning and casting rods(eg shimano fx series) and use 10lb braid or same diameter line for spinning and 30lb braid for baitcaster
So I’m wondering if you have a scorpion DC because it has five adjustment points rather than four i’m wondering if there’s that much of a difference between those two
I find my curado m likes to cast a bit more weight than my slx. I think a better test would be with a 3/8th ounce jig or tungsten weigh to be a little more accurate. I would also test a few more weights as well. 1/4 all the way up to 1/2 would probably be a good range to test and it would be really interesting to see if the dc is better with ligther or heavier lures and vice versa.
I know I bought DC curado 200 size spool and I took it back certainly wasn't at all near how my 2 JDM scorpion DC's 2017 version are. I just bought JDM scorpion DC 2021
Without a doubt, the SLX DC XT (made in 70 spool size) is the budget DC reel to have. MGL III spool, I-DC5 controller, Micro Module Gear2, Hagane Body, metal drag star, 7 Bearings and X-Ship so the pinion gear is supported by bearings. OK in Saltwater which is where I personally use the reel. Of course maintenance is required when used in SW as it is with any reel. In-Shore SW Bassing is definitely elevated with this JDM reel.
@@Saber_Outdoors I'm a shimano Stan so great video either way bro. Those r great reels that u posted. And I own them. I use my 150slx DC more than my $600 Antarres and Brand new Metaninium Dc..im not saying they r better bcuz they cost more by no means just that the technology is a lot better in the higher end models so it's way less of a headache and u get a lot more out of the reel
Dc is for lazy anglers that don't want to learn to train their thumbs. You lose casting distance and accuracy bigtime. You need your thumb trained to fish at a higher level. I want constant control and feedback from my bait while its in the air.
I love my Metanium DC, performs like a beast, smooth and reliable, always gets compliments on the shore.
@@Lopezprieto I'll keep a look out for one and try it out

I'll think about it. No promises
@@Saber_Outdoors definetly something worthy of your time for sure. Only 2 other youtubers have done this and the comment section gets heated.

@@wesleyfelts222 i don't have that one. Maybe one day.
The 200 size Curado has a larger/heavier spool so it won't cast as far as the 150 because of the inertia of the spool.
Interesting. I'll research what the difference is. If its a lot I'll redone the match up between dc and norm
Should i get a zillion or a shimano curado dc
I have not used a zillion. That said Shimano has always been a good product for me.

Good points. Maybe I need to dive into this a little deeper

I want more bfs stuff but I gotta wait for know
Thanks for the video!
Glad you liked it
Woah! This game looks great, graphics are good and the main character is a bit of a goofball. What system are you playing this on Mark?
PC of course
Even with the benefits of a dc reel, do you find the sound annoying when fishing for several hours?
I'm not usually bothered by it unless I'm not catching anything. Then everything is terrible
You forgot the JDM SLX DC XT , superb reel to those, good video
Too many letters so little time. Glad you enjoyed the video

Love the vid you got a new sub
Thanks man I really appreciate it
DC: stand for Digital Control not Digital Chip. it's actually on the Shimano website too.
Thanks for letting me know.
Good video
Thank you
I say it all the time the Metaninium is the bare minimum u should b forming your opinion of DCs
I'm open to revisiting this with a metaninium reel

When are the fortnite videos coming out
Still building the set up.

I guess I have a dumb thumb. 😂
you can still use your thumb if you have a dc and you still get the same amount of control and actually farther distance with the dc reel
Or it’s for people that love that sound 😂🫣. I got mine for the sound
@Daviddear30 for them too LoL
IDK, my Scorpion DC can cast just as far as my Metanium or Curado MGL. Curado MGL is the easiest to adjust on the water though.
