The time on top of the screen is standard for Japanese Broadcasts. They tend to appear in the earlier morning up until 8:00am. between around 1997? to 2017, Sentai would air at 7:30 in the morning on Sundays. Now they air around 8:30 after Kamen Rider
Sorry for the long ass comment, but to answer a few questions you had.
Lips on helmets have a complicated history. It was fairly common to have "half helmets" on some old shows, but after they introduced stunt doubles for the action scenes, having a half helmet would make it visibile that the character wasn't actually there and would break immersion.
While Ultraman always tried to go with the whole "this is actually an alien face and not a helmet" it was alright, for Rider and Sentai it became an interesting experiment. Rider did the half helmet with Riderman and Tackle but I don't think those characters were anyone's favorites, and since then they don't really do mouth-pieces.
Sentai is the only odd one out where they actually do mouth plates. While personally I don't like it, I think it makes it a whole less weird if you think of it as a half-helmet that is actually showing their mouths. You're already supposed to think that the spandex and lycra suits are either armor or transformed skin or something, so it's not that out there to have assumptions that one thing is supposed to be another. Since Battle Fever J specially is inspired by Marvel Comics, you can think of them as Silver Age Marvel heroes.
For the Dairanger roll call:
The name of the team translates to "Five Star Squad Great-Rangers", and they are based on chinese myth.
As they are 5 stars, each one of them is a star. So they say their animal, their star, and then their name. So for an example, the red ranger says: "Dragon Ranger, Fire Star, Ryo".
- Green is a Shishi, a legendary lion, and the Phantom Star.
- Blue is a Pegasus, and the Gravity Star.
- Yellow is the Kirin, a chinese mythical beast, and the Time Star.
- Pink one is a Phoenix, and the Wind Star.
- When the White one is introduced, he's the chinese white tiger (also mythological) and the "Howling New Star"
Megaranger are based on in-universe video game characters (that's why they have a 'character select' on their chest), and turn of the millenium technology. (Computer, TV, Digital Camera, Cellphone, Satellite; Silver was Microchip). It's kinda aged poorly, but they were supposed to be cutting edge tech in '97.
Ninja Steel might be bad, but I will not tolerate Ninninger slander. Some of the acting leaves a bit to be desired, but the action is top notch and the plot isn't half bad. Yes the red one is a tough pill to swallow as they write him, but the season has a lot of highlights, and I'm tempted to say that people just don't get what it is trying to convey.
Zenkaiger was the 45 anniversary special. The leader is based on the 2 sentai that didn't have giant robots, and the rest of the team is based on the most popular 'megazords' they had and they are all robots. (Mighty Morphin's S1 Zord, Wild Force's Zord, Operation Overdrive's Zord and Mystic Force's Zord). The extra ranger of the season is an extra-dimensional alien based on more popular mecha (Super Megaforce, Samurai and Zeo). Later on they honor the most popular extra ranger mecha (Green Dragonzord and Q-Rex). It's a robot heavy season.
Kyoryuger and Kyoryuger Brave are a special case. Kyoryuger was so successful in South Korea that they got the greenlight to make a direct sequel only for South Korea (and apparently is half canon, so what do you know, it's an official Sentai where none of the members are Japanese). The reason they dance when they transform is actually a plot point of the series. The item they use to transform is actually a battery charged with the souls of the dead dinosaur they represent. In their story, the Earth itself produces a faint song called "Earth's Melody". The mix of recieving an ancient soul full of life and being able to hear a beautiful melody compels them to feel good and dance. When KyoryuRed gets his mid-season power up he actually describes it as his body "feeling like he's in the middle of a festival". They, as a team, are literally full of life and desire to live.
That was very helpful thank you❤️
Zocks is NOT an alien, he's a “Variant (term for someone from a different universe)” just like the rest of the Kikanoids. He came from a universe, which is “pirate world (kaizoku warudo)”
@@finnix4428 lot of words to say that he's not from here (alien) and not from this plane (extra dimensional). He's literally a space pirate like the Gokaiger.
@@jpcsdutra he literally said he's a “world pirate” that travels through different dimensions, and it wouldn't make sense for an old man to have a variant from different planets with the same name, same face, same age, all in the same universe, (by old man, I meant the same man who punched Kaito in the face, I forgot his name, but you get the point)
@@finnix4428 It's completely besides the point if he has a variant or not. If the dude travels through dimensions, he's extra dimensional. If he's going to "worlds" where he doesn't belong, he is an alien. I'm not wrong on my statement
It’s not random, Zenkaiger turn into the mechs from the respective seasons associated with the number on the suit, except for Zenkaiser who takes design inspiration from Goranger and JAKQ.

When this work was broadcast in 2021, after the coronavirus had already begun to spread, it started with four members who were robots and one human as an infection control measure.
50:42 the 45th sentai kikai sentai the one with the robots is anniversary season which each of the robot member is based on a megazord from previos seasons ike the dino one is based on the mighty morphin megazord/zyuranger zords while the white member is based on a combination of the first one and the leader of the second sentai
Lips on the suits are more a homage to the old superhero trope of seeing the mouth despite the rest of the face being covered, IE Batman, Captain America, The Flash, etc. Not to say it's something you should like just cause there's a reason but at least there's a reason to it. I prefer if there are mouths that they have a style to them, like what Donbrothers does where it looks like their respective themed outfit. Makes me think of those old Samurai demon masks.
I didn’t know that at all and oni masks are cold 🥶
This compilation also has a weird definition of core team, Green and Black from RPM are core team and debut really early on, and yet somehow isn’t counted.
Yea there’s a video with the sixth and extra rangers henshins and power ups and another one with the sixth rangers and finishers. You should react to it
Yes Tommy was super popular, and Saban wanted to capitalise on his popularity so they made the White Ranger using the Kiba Ranger suit and footage from the subsequent Sentai season, in Japan apparently people really liked Burai and wanted him to not die, but they stayed the course since it tells a better story and impacts an important lesson on the young audience.
When I say made, I meant to say made him the White Ranger, which I hope came over in the subsequent line about using the Kibaranger suit and footage.
Great
56:57 all the bonus part are official
I will admit they did reduce the big bad of Gingaman to being a more minor villain in adaptation, but the generals do all get adapted, whilst Trakeena, her father, and their foot soldiers are all original.
I liked the original villains

Oh yeah, you know the train one? They hold up fingers depending on their number. So like red will hold up one finger, blue two, green three, if you watch it back then it's a cool detail.
We did get the constellation one... kinda? "Power Rangers: Cosmic Fury" took some of the Zords and that was it, so we very technically have an adaption. Also means the Constellation ones can't easily be adapted anymore because their Zords were on-screen. If you're mad now, look up the suits they made for Cosmic Fury as opposed to the ones we know from your reaction. Also the guy in charge of adaptions said "We can't do this because we can't give every one of the 12 rangers the time they need on screen" which is crazy seeing as the Japanese version is a hit.
If I remember correctly, the reason we didn't get the thief one is because "The Power Rangers couldn't be seen as villains" which... Well first, that's not the point of the thieves, they're doing their own type of justice as opposed to the law, second is that the lead on adaptions said this and I thought the job of the adaption was to change the show to how you wanna make it? And third, what was the point in Tommy; The Green Ranger then? Or Trent; Dino Thunder White? Mercury Ranger from Operation Overdrive? I know this is me getting heated but it was such a weird comment from the guy who didn't wanna adapt it, same as when he said "Can't do the train one because trains aren't popular in America".
The one with the robots is an anniversary season so each one of the rangers is based on a different "Running theme" like dinos, government, vehicles, etc. The reason in the plot for the robots is because each Sentai team is said to be in their own dimensions, so the evil robot bad guys combined their robot dimension with the human dimension in order to take it over. Turns out that the robot people not working for the bad guys are hella chill and will just live with humans like it's no one's business. Each of the five is based on the Megazord of their season, which is why they are numbered and look the way they do:
White - Gorenger, the first Sentai. 45 for this being the 45th Sentai.
Red - Zyuranger/MMPR. The 16th Sentai.
Yellow - Gaoranger/Wild Force. The 25th Sentai.
Pink - Magiranger/Mystic Force. The 29th Sentai.
Blue - Boukenger/Operation overdrive. The 30th Sentai.
I know it's a lore dump but it explains a lot. Also, people will say the rangers are robots due to Covid, that's a lie as it didn't affect the seasons before or after in terms of putting people together on-set.
The Akiba one is made by Toei; the makers of Super Sentai & Kamen Rider. It's a season off to the side that's meant to be a parody on Akibahara - the nerd city of Japan. The rangers themselves are fans of Sentai so they use their knowledge of the tropes to win fights. The joke is that they are "Unofficial" because they wanna be in the main Sentai timeline, even though they are always left off to the side. Fun little fact about the blue one, she was dedicating her role call to an actual famous suit actor for many red rangers, who in that episode she trained under. It's a great show full of references and adult humour, two seasons at 12 episodes each.
The dinosaur one right at the end was Korea's attempt to make a 12 episode Sentai series, making it a sequel to one of the previous Sentai, the one we'd know as Dino Charge. Sentai is very popular there too, they actually get a lot of Korean dubs of the seasons titled "Power Rangers" weirdly enough. They LOVE the animal monarch one, like it's insane, they even have their own exclusive toyline for it.
The High School Heroes is made by Toei again and it's off to the side, a show paying tribute to the first Sentai Gorenger. Even has the red ranger from that team showing upas moral support. basically make a darker version of the original bad guys in high school and you got THSH. Only about 12 episodes too.
Sorry if this is a lot, just answering a few of the questions you had lol
They would have been awesome if they had just adapted the train one and thieves. I’m annoyed now knowing they used just the zords of the constellation sentai
momotaro folk lore is about baby born from big peach and when he grow up he is samurai travel with monkey bird and i don't remember other member
journey to slay Oni (Giant Monster)
The dino force bracve us a sequel to kryuoger
I was gonna say this on the finisher but this one was just 2 hour ago so i believe this way you will be able to see in the video of the finisher not every every finisher was shown like in the one that is thieves vs cop there is like at least 10 like the one where the cops fuse there is a variation for the thieves
Damn that would have been cool to see
Folks, I don't think he likes the lips.
😂😂
Not bellie, Belle as in the French word for beautiful.

Yeah. The lips are only thing on those suits that bother me
