In-depth look at an interesting Seth Thomas Beehive Mantle Clock

Here’s a new clock I got rather recently! Someone randomly dropped this off on my front porch and it turned out to be this interesting Seth Thomas mantle clock! I was surprised to see it working when I got it! I oiled it obviously and it runs like new! The only issue I see is sometimes it skips chime sequences from time to time (such as, it will chime an hour but then it strikes the next our immediately after so it basically turns into a chain reaction.)
Despite this issue, this is still an interesting clock to add to my collection!

@ogClockTV The Beehive clock is interesting. The sound of a half hour bell has to be one of my favourite sounds, from those mantel clocks I heard apart of your clock collection. Some antique clocks can provide a bell for half hour only and that’s what makes those clocks fascinating, instead the hammer won’t hit the gong for half hour for those types of half hour bell clocks. The pendulum circular material design looks appealing to Me as well. The ticking sound from the pendulum is what attracts Me the most when I listen to your LIVE videos lol.

That's a very beautiful clock. The case style is more like a beehive clock since adamantines are usually bigger. I think it would be better to refer to it as a Seth Thomas Beehive Mantle/Mantel Clock. And from the way it works, it looks to have count wheel striking, so it can't turn back when DST ends.
Either way, that's still a very pretty clock, and the 4th Seth Thomas clock for the collection

Adamantine is a clear coating that Seth Thomas put on their clocks. Its not a style but it was used on many of the wide mantel clocks.

To fix that striking problem try getting the movement out and bending the count wheel arm down a bit

I don't believe this Seth Thomas is an adamantine model. Looks more like a beehive model to me. On the other hand, I have one that's strikingly similar to yours (no pun intended), but mine only has the gong. Mine has a similar problem, particularly when wound up.
