What I love about UBW movie is that Gilgamesh at least tried to fight Shirou instead of just standing doing nothing in 2014 anime.
@allthatishere Eh, that didn't bother me as much because I took it as Gilglamesh SEVERELY underestimating Shirou. Thats the only way Shirou could win.

@@garytaylor8193That's Gilgamesh's biggest handicap. He could solo pretty much any of the other characters, but his ego holds him back.
Even the fact that shirou had whole tohsaka bloodline powering him up and still wasn't able to defeat gil , remember if gil hadn't gone for the ea and kept on fighting on even terms shirou would eventually exaust himself , in the movie gil was still alive no matter the amount of damage shirou did the only reason he died is because of the grail , gil didn't even take out the his armour if he had shirou could do no shit to him , even without ea he had several ways to defeat shirou easily
he literally used gob to fire weapon, in movie he just sword clashed with shirou, making the statement of ubw countering gob useless

Regarding Unlimited Blade Works route, i noted a particular difference in the three versions, specifically regarding the condition of Saber after be free from Caster's contract after her demise, and before to makes the contract with Rin:
- In the visual novel, Saber was still capable to summons back her default blue dress and armour, despite to be notably weakened by the lack of Prana.
- In the anime, Saber only was capable to wields Excalibur, but she was so weak that wasn't capable to summons her blue dress and armour.
- In the movie, Saber was so weakened, that she was incapable to even summons Excalibur, forcing her to uses one of the summoned swords of Archer.

Rin simply beats medea, mage from the age of gods and heroic spirit of the caster class, in a fucking magic constest by making caster realize pray in portuguese/spanish is *ORA*
Heck, even Shinji's attempt sexual assault on Rin differs in the vn, the Deen film, and the Ufotable anime.

Still hold up? That shit never held up, and I love Deen more than most do in the Fate community. Imo even the 10 hours the anime has to cover the route is a bit too short, but an hour and half? You can be on the toilet longer than it takes to cover the UBW route in this movie. It's almost comical. Honestly, the UBW movie should be the last thing you see as a Fate fan, literally last. Watch it with a good breakfast and be glad you didn't watch it first.
*Illya dies twice in the movie, she does not even had time to show Berserkar in the Ufotable anime, so DEEN is actually better*
I didn't know about all the drama that happened behind the scenes of the movie. I remember enjoying it, but then I was already familiar with the story and will admit that at the time I was just glad to have something to watch. I'm glad that they have taken more efforts to really explain the routes better and really flesh out the story. It's pretty amazing once you get into it.
My big issue with the Deen Fate anime is the lighting. From 2000-2010 a lot of anime lacked the kind of sophisticated lighting seen in the 80's and 90's opting for a flatter and often brighter style or the perpetually washed-out dusk look. I assume as a consequence of the rough transition of moving to a primarily digital art format. Deen's own Rurouni Kenshin from the late 90's - for instance - has some pretty wonderful looking night scenes with heavy emphasis on shadows, eyes, and flashing swordplay. If the Deen Fate anime resembled that I'd be far more willing to recommend it.
Exactly. It felt like all those bright colors on the characters made them look like they were glowing in this fake darkness. Like those cheap films that use a filter instead of shooting at night.
Well, the collor in deen is in general just better than when ufotable does things, UBW looking like the fire of the 4th grail war is way better than bright sand collors
That's why you thank god for these producers with Charisma skill, because you can have all the Resources and end up subpar because of Organization and Leadeship.

Hold up I've been reading too much jjk this past month and I know reality marble came first but is a battle of reality marble the same with DE like if the mages are equal then both of them can figth equally in their reality marble clashes but if a stronger mage were to use a reality marble then will that mage override the other magus reality marble?

As someone who has watched the ufortable version of UBW, I like it more but I do like the art style in the studio Deen fate. And I’m also curious about the fate stay night 2006 anime and the UBW movie made by studio deen, same studio who did Rurouni Kenshin and ranma 1/2.
You should watch the 2006 version if you want to see more artoria. I just recently finished it and honestly it's not that bad like people say

Don't think we really need a 20 minute video explaining why DUBW was a horrible adaptation of the route and why it most definitely does not hold up in the slightest. It never did.
Though it has its good parts, some better than ufotable's rendition (even though both adaptations suck in their own ways) all it amounts too at the end of the day is another awfully rushed, haphazard and disorganized adaptation of a source material.
For instance:
- They skip Rider's fight with Shirou on Day 5 all the way to Caster's and Kuzuki's attack on the school on Day 7. I'm not making this up, that's literally what happened.
And this is the stupidest one in my opinion,
- They skipped all the way from Shirou and Archer's confrontation at Ryuudo Temple to Caster attacking the Emiya residence.
That's at least a week of content in the route cut out (Day 6 - Day 11)

At least we got the glorious German dub from it.
Deen is so trash. I hate how rushed and sloppy everything in their productions are.
Defending the UBW Movie is like saying, "Well at least you got pretty good choreography and animation," despite the models looking like stale standies, the dialogue feeling rushed, and the downright comical interactions like Shinji's runaway scene or Gil straight up tearing out Sakura's heart. Those scenes stick out to me, and not in a good way.
I would rather deal with the amateur 06 Anime than the Movie. The Show was bad, but the movie straight up made me not want to see anything in the Nasuverse.
Fate Zero restored my interest and actually made me love the Nasuverse.
it was just 1 hour so the story was rushed, shortened terribly, shirou vs archer is so bad, their ideology clash was cut away completely
