I live in the States, only followed one team until my friend invited me to his FPL league. Now I’m glued to the tv every Saturday morning keeping up with all the games, it’s made the Premier League a lot more fun for me! Love Sam and the FFScout team!
I’m not really one for watching pundits anymore but it annoys me more that presenters/pundits have started feeling the need to give their FPL thoughts as if it’s part of their analysis. Nobody cares if you want Haaland to do well because you’ve triple captained him.
Thanks for the pod. As a big fan of FPL & UEFA fantasy, i do enjoy watching all the games more than just the “big teams”. I am not a fan of the algorithm solvers that have popped up, and while stats tell a narrative it does miss out the bigger story of what football is: chaos made into beauty through skill, talent, and dogged determination. I’d never understand one who plays fantasy games but doesn’t enjoy watching the games. But it’s a start in getting liking the beautiful game
I absolutely love fpl. I ran my own competitions on it. I spend hours a week on it. But nothing gives me the irk more than hearing pundits talking about it. Like just no
1.9 billion people watch the premier league. 11 million play FPL. 0.6% engagement seems like a statistically irrelevant factor that the media seems to constantly reference.
Be interesting to see how much of the watch time that 0.6% make up tho. Likely a large portion of the Global viewership watches very little football each season. Whereas the average fpl player likely watches significantly more
Sure but that number is disingenuous as it’s calculated over an annual interaction count (I.e. also going off people who have followed on social media but not watched a game) and if someone watches two matches that counts for two seperate interactions whereas FPL’s metric is calculated off a user base (I.e. 11m users). For last season the Premier League reported 35m unique weekly watchers of premier league games, which, if we assume the majority of FPL is played within the UK, would put an active English viewership who engage with FPL somewhere around 25% which is a significant number, and certainly presents a demographic worth addressing
That 35m number is UK only based on sky tv and match of the day data. Data from October this year shows the average premier league game is watched by 600 million people worldwide. 25% of fans play FPL is complete nonsense and doesn’t pass any logical query. Unless you’re with a group of high school lads you’re going to struggle finding 25% of people anywhere on FPL. It could be lower than 0.6% when factoring in bots, users with multiple accounts and people who sign up and loose interest after a few weeks. If you enjoy FPL then crack on and play. You don’t need to lie about its popularity to justify your hobby.
Some of the manager comments. We do love a villain as an often rival fan and followers can be clumsily cringe although being derogatory towards people's reason for connecting can seem unwise for business.
Not really. FPL does place greater emphasis/attention onto stats as a measure of a player's ability which, as the educated football fan knows, is misleading.
@@victorjustine Player X registered more points than player Y in FPL. It can give the impression that player X is better because he accumulated more points, and therefore shape a perception of a player during a season. This can be disputed as football, just like any sport, is not merely a game of numbers.
Thank you for the good video. We all know that the digital market is creating a different revolution in the world economy. I earn up to $45,000 per week trading in the digital market. Having a job now does not seem to guarantee complete financial stability. Instead, having multiple sources of income that do not depend on the government.
This 2024 I no longer depend on the government or salary to survive. "Of course, trading is a safer way to earn more money now because I have earned up to 352,000 thousand US dollars recently. Work will only pay your bills, business will make you earn." You are rich, but trade makes and keeps you rich, the future is inevitable...
I don't really blame people who panic. Lack of information can be a big hurdle. I've been making more than $21k passively by just going into crypto investment , and I don't have to do much work. Inflation or no inflation, my finances remain secure. So I really don't blame people who panic

Supporters don't care. We support our clubs. NEUTRALS and CONTENT creators care for the entertainment factor.
Simple as that
