    I studied paso doble's school figures for at least 10 years. The Fallaway Whisk is also known as the "Ecart". (This is from the French "ecarter" - to move apart or to move away).
    The promenade will help you get you prepared for the longer Bronze figure known as the "la Sixieme" (or "The Sixteen"), and later on, the Silver figure known as "La Passe" (or "The Passe"). In the olden days, the 8 steps of the Promenade was formerly called the Man's Simple Open Turn in old ISTD books. The "16" actually starts with the Promenade (steps 1-6) and on steps 7-16, the man passing the lady 3 times on either side of him, and then a swivel-close action (on steps 15-16).
    The Promenade Close after the Ecart looks a very teeny bit like a "Coup de Pique" (or "Sting blow") action.
    I also recognized your posture position - your lower chest is more forward but the rest of the body is still as straight as possible - because keenly, in the dance known as the paso doble, especially in the dancesport environment, you need to theatrically portray the attitude of the matador.

      Paso doble does have its origins in Spain, but it actually started in France as the "redoubled step". That is why some moves in the Paso have French names, such as the highly choreographic "chased cape" (or "chasse cape").

    Fallaway Whisk was known formerly in French as the "ecart". The word "ecart" means "gap", so the "gap" is the opening between steps 2-3, and the gap "closes" up between steps 3 and 4. Paso doble - the dance itself- was known as "pas redouble" in French - the dance actually started in France before it moved to Spain, so some of the dance figures in paso doble had French names.

      I suppose that's because of broadcast issues in public and all that stuff about a license, you're limited in choice.

    I know a lot about Paso. The drop of the elevated feet down to full weight with the lowering of the knees - with or without the hip twist, is keenly called the "Appel". It is French for "call" and it is a sort of "bravade" step by the Matador to beckon the bull to charge him if this is an actual corrida.
    The "attack" - in old school ISTD books, was known formerly as the "deplacement" in French, which means "displacement". Displacement is also used in Argentine tango, but in paso doble - this displacement is much more different that that. The deplacement is happening because you are displaced by the forward movement for the leader or backward movement by the follower ending in a new position ending to the side to a brand new wall.
    The "Promenade" sometimes is called the "Promenades" or "Promenade and Counter Promenade." depending on the ISTD syllabus used. In addition, steps 1-6 of Promenades will set up this following two figures....
    Steps 7-16 of The Sixteen, or;
    Steps 7-16 of the "La Passe" (or "The Pass").
