I, like many other in the comments section can vouch for this. I went from a terrible diet (Standard American Diet) to a 100% raw vegan plant based diet and not only did I reverse every single dis-ease I was dealing with, my mood is drastically better. Your gut and your lymphatic system are everything.

I’m been vegan for 6 years and feel like I’m at a point in my journey where in the time of all the crazy processed, fried, unhealthy vegan fast foods and products that have come out, I’m so ready to become raw vegan. This TedTalk has inspired me because I have my fair share of GI conditions and I remember how going vegan initially helped so much but I’ve lost touch with my super healthy side. I can’t wait for this raw vegan journey! the transformation will be amazing.

I have healed brain cancer and diabetes with raw fruit and veggies and I feel really sorry for those who are still dying from diseases without realising that the addictive foods are the reason for them to suffer. Just take it slow. You can do it. Maybe intersperse some cooked days with some raw. See how you feel. Some people do great on raw, and some need some cooked food, so you can always be High Raw (at least 50% of your food is raw) if you find that works better for you. Good luck!❤️

I have always been attracted to raw food especially each spring, but have never met anyone using a dehydrator, but it seems that a dehydrator is a necessary tool ?
And if it is so, I wonder what kind of a dehydrator do you use? 😊

Hi! So happy you enjoyed my talk. I use the 9-tray Excalibur dehydrator. You don't necessarily need one if you're just making simple food but having a dehydrator let's you make way more creative raw vegan recipes such as breads, wraps, pizzas and more :)

Maybe traditional chinese medicine isn't the solution for some diseases but in the way it deals with the body and soul as a holistic unity and how it considers every illness as a breakdown in the inner balance which has to be restored (instead of the mentality of modern western medicine to wage war against invisible microbes using chemicals) it approaches a lot to natural medicine (and thus indirectly with vegetarism, veganism, crudivorism, etc...). In fact I'd venture to say that traditional chinese medicine has influenced, in some way, natural medicine; or at least there's some connection.
By the way, being crudivegan, What Will I do without the delicious fried spring rolls? 😭 I will miss them very much.

B12 is a bacteria that lives in the water and in soil, so animals have to be supplemented with it in order to obtain enough. Steak is not a superior source of B12. Supplements are the most straightforward way to get it. 👌🏼

I would have liked more scientific analysis of why a raw food diet is better than eating cooked meals. There were passing references to enzymes. But what are they and why should we care about them?
The speaker might be correct in attributing her health and appearance to her raw vegan diet. But what about other factors, like genetic inheritance or exercise?
Another big omission was any mention of the prevalence of cooking throughout history and across different cultures. Why did our ancestors decide that cooked food was better than eating it raw?
I am a vegan who believes we are what we eat. But there is more to great physical and mental health than the food we put in our bodies.

    • @pixelated.peachyangel

Because it is meant to be salmon! You would not ask a gluten free pasta to not be called pasta, right?

They resemble the original dish by shape and texture and people are addicted to cooked foods hence this word "manipulation" so it can attract more people to get healthier.

Her looking this young has nothing to do with raw foods.
I see many asian women eating animal products and they still look incredibly young.
There are many raw fooders out there that look very very very healthy compared to "normal" eaters....but they still look more ore less their age.

You can get the same results on a strict carnivore diet, except the skin is more youthful and supple because of the animal fats.
The problem with the carnivore and raw vegan diet is that it isn’t sustainable for 99% of people. Most long term carnivore/ raw vegans start to deteriorate after awhile.
You can get the same healthy high from a prolonged water fast 72 hours+, with much better results for your overall health.

The only reason humans advanced from the cavemen stages because we started cooking food

    Don't eat raw vegetables
Concern surrounding the impact of spinach, kale and other similar vegetables - including broccoli, broccoli rabe, turnips, Brussels sprouts, Chinese cabbage and cauliflower - on thyroid health is due to the effect they can have on the thyroid's ability to absorb iodine.25 Dec 2016Iodine is an element that plays an essential role in the functioning of a healthy thyroid. It is used for the production of thyroid hormones. It is particularly important in women who are pregnant as it is needed to ensure the development of a baby's brain during pregnancy and early life.19 Sept 2019

That's if you eat too much of it at once. I read about a woman who ate a pound of raw broccoli a day for two months and developed thyroid issues. I'd venture a guess that most raw vegans aren't eating that much broccoli or other goitrogens everyday. They're varying their fruits, veggies, nuts, etc., which is what you should be doing, anyway.
