I've gotten so many great gift ideas from your videos. Sewing has become my new hobby since the COVID-19 quarantine. I'm so glad I found your channel. I appreciate how you show the dimensions written out while you read them. I also like how you edit your videos to show what is actually important and helpful hints.
I loved this bag. still not confident to do it but I have to keep watching your video, Just to let you know I have finished my quilt as you go, single blanket (theme is Harry Potter) It is so lovely to see my finished project. I started this project during our nearly 4 months lockdown. Thank you again for your great tutorials. God Bless and stay safe to you all. Regards Ginny D from Sydney Australia
Hi Ginny. Thank you for telling me about your quilt as you go. It is no nice to hear that someone actually finished a quilt. Congratulations. Thanks for watching, and happy sewing. 😍
It was when I realized you are left handed that I understood why I was confused about your hand movements. The way things move is part of visual learning, once I understood the language your hands were speaking the entire tutorial made more sense to me. Thank you for sharing.
Ohmylawd, I will never again use sticky back velcro!! Gummed up my machine and wouldn't stitch. Had to switch needles a few times. Super frustrating, and a less than professional finished look 😔☹😣 Anyway, I love your videos so much! If I need a pattern, I go right for your channel! Thanks a bunch 🥰
Made a variation of this at the weekend. Adapted as was using an old tshirt of my daughter that she really liked but was too small now. Instead of putting the pocket on the front and covering up the pic i put it on the back ...just in the small of the back..made it big enuf for a tiny ice pack so when it is very hot bit of cool relief😅
This is exactly what I needed. Thank you very much for the detailed instructions. One little question- what is the 61/2” by 81/2” piece meant for? Thank you.
I have a question how will one fourth of a yard of fabric be enough to cut a 12 1/2 x 25 ? Love the pattern plan to make one for my 9 year old great grand daughter.
Thank you love this bag. I can think of many places I go that this would be better than carrying a purse. I also liked the way you lined up the fabric pattern with the pockets. Just one concern - I hold my breath everytime you use your rotory cutter. Please be careful because it is so close to your hand.
Hi Leah. I know. I am very careful. I wish I could use scissors, but it is very difficult because I can't use my right hand to grasp the object I'm cutting. Thanks for your concern. Thanks for watching, and happy sewing.
Thank you for sharing your videos, I just love than all, but I was wondering, if you dont mind me asking, what happened to your hand as your doing your programs so well, , I have cancer so I find it easy following your sewing ,, 😘🙂
Hi Natalie. Ten years ago my spinal cord was injured. The injury affected my right side of my body. After a lot of physical therapy I was able to walk and use my right thumb. I was never able to get my fingers to work. I am very grateful for what I am able to do. Sewing everyday was the best therapy for me and it still is. Thanks for watching, and happy sewing. 😍
@@TheSewingRoomChannel thank you for your reply my started out in 2006 as breast cancer and 2017 it came back in my spine and yes sewing relaxes me, and that is how I coup is the sewing😘😘🙃🙃
Hi Sandra. After inserting the straps through casing at the top of the bag, then insert them through the loop at the bottom of the bag. After that stitch the strap ends together. Go to about 18 minutes and 50 seconds into the video. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching, and happy sewing.
I finally made it. Reallllly cute. Will make another one!!!!
Thank you so much for watching and happy sewing! 😍

I luv this pattern ....but wish you had a link to print out the pattern sizes....
What are the completed dimensions of the backpack? Thank you!
If you stitch the straps closed first how do you get them through the loops lol
