    Chenille is typically thinner fabric that frays easily so that cutter is excellent because those were thicker than any chenille I've ever seen

    • @Seamstressed
      @Seamstressed  2 роки тому +2

      I don't think peeps should be doing chenille with that any time soon hahahaha

    I love the Chanelle cutter better than a different one that I tried.

    The rotary cutter compass would by a blessing for doing fuxico! Can u imagine not having to cut a bunch of small circles by scissors?! Yeah, perfect for a fuxico project.

    • @Seamstressed
      @Seamstressed  2 роки тому +1

      I thought about that too hahaha. My mom loved making fuxico :D

    I have seen those bias binders that you put into the sewing machine to sew directly to what ever project you're working on..... I wonder how easy those are.
    You got 3 cutting devices. Makes me think you're a big cut up..... 🤪

      Hahahaha I giggled way too hard just now
      Do you mean the bias binder foot? Send me a picture, please :D

    Hmm could we put the cutter on a longer stick and glue a tack to the stick? I think that would work.

    I just bought the Olfa Chenille cutter - I looked for a link so you would get a commission but I couldn’t find one!

    I have my Granny's version of the Clover buttonhole chisel. They are useful things. All the rest of the tools look fun and functional. Except for the electric bias maker - too many parts to loose.

    I love these videos because I didn’t sew for many years and have no idea what is available.
    Do you have a walking foot for your machine? I just got one, have no idea how to use it though

    • @Seamstressed
      @Seamstressed  2 роки тому +1

      for the main machine, no, because it has a needle feeder transport that works similar to a walking foot, but my leather machine has one and it is SO COOL! I wouldn't know how to explain how to use it, though. It's just there and it works hahahaha

    Wow! That last item with the plastic pressing sticks was fantastic! I want one.
    The circle cutter disappointed me too. 😔 I have a big waist and would have loved the gadget for circle skirts.
    I think I might like the first one; I would love help making bias tape.
    I want the button hole cutter, too
    Have absolutely no use for the chenille cutter.
    Fun! Video!

      Thank you!
      The husband told me to improvise something for the circle cutter and I just might over-engineer the hek out of it some day hahaha

    And here we have the wonderful human that tortures herself so that others do not.
    Some of these things I have seen, and said nope due to the plastic content.
    I use Tunisian crochet hooks for pulling straps or fabric right side out after stitching. Maybe you can try them if you don't have them already.🤔

    You make me laugh! I love watching your doohickey testing.
    I have the worlds most expensive one trick pony bias binding machine. 6 or so years ago it was about AUD$120. Don’t tell my husband! 🤫 it took me a minute to learn to use it, it has many design stupidities, but i love it! I have to burn the crap out of my fingers pushing down on that same spot. Have to be careful not to stretch the fabric if its actually bias cut. It gets a better result if you lightly spray the fabric with spray starch. Yours didn’t look like it was up to temperature, was the red light on?
    I want one of those clover button hole cutters. Strangely I found them stupidly expensive. Ironic when you consider how much the one trick pony cost! 🤣😂🤣

    • @Seamstressed
      @Seamstressed  2 роки тому +1

      hahahaha on no! the "ready" light was on, maybe the fabric was too thick for it?
      I did not know about spray starch! I will search for it :D :D :D

    Making bias binding still scares me (mostly because I’m so bad at it). I have several attachments for my great-grandmother’s 1907 Singer treadle just for binding, so clearly my ancestresses must have mastered the art of creating it. I’m sure they’re disappointed in me for purchasing “store bought” binding! Have you done a video on doing the tube method of making bias tape?

    • @Seamstressed
      @Seamstressed  2 роки тому +1

      Bias is very annoying! I totally understand you.
      I use that method a lot, but I never explained it in enough detail hhehehe

    Wow, that bias tape machine was disappointing. It's basically a regular bias tape maker but more work. They couldn't have mechanised the windy thing for that price??
    I have the presser bars and love them though. Presser bars + zipper foot is great for making boning channels.

    Simplicity stopped producing these bias tape makers and people have been getting them from Ebay for YEARS. Very happy to learn they started selling these again.
    Edit: so sad it suuuucks 😔

      Husband and I were binge watching South Park back then and there is an episode where Cartman founds his own Christian Rock band and this is one of the songs he sings. It has the magic powers of being stuck in my head FOREVER!! So I was singing it while shooting lol

    Sorry, but I find this unwatchable, with the quickly-changing scenes and cutting in a different version of your speaking literally every other word. Maybe it's my age ...
