I grew up in the Netherlands and my parents always took me to this church, no matter how small the branches and wards, and how far away. Many of my friends smoked, drank, went to night clubs, slept around, and watched porn, but by being in the church I was able to stay away from a ton of misery that would have resulted from that. And even though my friends weren’t evil, mean people, I saw the difference the church standards made. It became even clearer on my mission. The church means a lot to me. Now living in the USA with my wife and kids. I love the gospel.

Hugs to you! I have found power studying the Book of Mormon eachday, even if at first you do not understand them. At first I didn't. Now I cannot stop reading eachday because of the tender mercies the Savior gives me for giving Him his time. Reading 1 chapter a day brings answers, safety and alot of protection from trials and this falling apart world. You are not alone and never have been.

As a young women in the church watching conferences its hard but once i put my pure heart and listen to the conference i get beatiful messages that help me in my life. General Conferences is a very special blessing and listening to the choir is very spiritual 😌🙏

I grew up a member of the church. Watching general conference was always an important time in my family home, but an adult it hasn’t been present in my life. At this time there are many sermons in the world. And i’ve listened to a great deal. I sought this out today though and can confidently say this organization still brings me the most peace. My older brother passed away last year and this brings me closer to him.

What is it about this church that draws so many good people? They’re just so happy, why? Like no matter where they live, their circumstances, their challenges, they’re so happy - what causes that in them? And why are they so hated? I don’t understand the disconnect, they should be well esteemed but they’re not, atleast not by the world

I almost didn't comment because I didn't feel like it would be good enough, as I don't actually know the verses, but I'm doing it anyway. You're seeing the joy that comes from living in the fullness of the gospel of Jesus Christ. We still have so much sadness, obviously, but there is comfort and peace beyond any measure, because of Christ. I believe we are so hated because he told us that we would be. He also says that they hate us because they hated Him first. Edit to add: "In the world, ye shall have tribulation, but be of good cheer; for I have overcome the world." I would recommend the talk by The Prophet Russell M. Nelson about "Find Rest" (I think it was last April?) But we're mostly loving, compassionate, and supportive (accounting for human imperfection). ❤
When I live my life following my Savior I have the gift of the Holy Ghost. When I have the gift of the Holy Ghost, I can get through Anything with happiness and peace.
We are hated most because we suffer long the persecution, reviling, and all manner of evil that need to endure for the sake of eternities with God. As Jesus once advised to His disciples "carry your own crosss.. and follow me". I know God is powerful and merciful to us. Thanks for the prophets to guide us and how to find rest with Loving God.

If not for my sufferings and challenges in life, i will not believe in the Book of Mormon nor on the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day saints. It is through my trials and sufferings that led me to have a testimony about the Lord Jesus Christ. I know He lives, i know it. And i know that the Book of Mormon testified of Him. I love and obey the Lord Jesus Christ because of the Book of Mormon.

Minute 52:00 At age 17, I saw my first Ray Of Light; at age 54, I saw my 6th Ray Of Light. They radiate from Heaven just as Elder Dushku says. They are totally unpredictable. Totally unexplainable. Totally unscripted. But, totally meaningful and significant to me. Yours will be different from mine. At age 66, none of my life's expectations has occurred ... yet. Only my 6 Rays Of Past Light maintain my hope for my future. Thanks for the reminder Elder Dushku.

1:20:20 in my opinion is the best talk in general conference. The whole world needs to understand that the second commandment never out ranks the 1st great commandment. If you do indeed love your brother, then you will correct them. Integrity is a Christlike attribute. You must be true to God before everything else. 1:26:58. First commandment is most important. If you love your brothers, you will warn them.

I was born in to the Church. I think and really hope that i am on the up and up. I've been struggling with mental health and sfuff like that. Right now it feels like I am on the up and up. I've been doing dumb stuff that could have killed me multiple times over cos of mental health which we are working to fix right now and there no Temple close to me it's half a country away from me or more. I've been in this and out of this dark space my whole life even though i have been a member my whole life. I've been fighting alone until just recently when i let in my Bishop where i wouldn't before cos of trust issues even though i knew they were called by God would have to be safe to get the job of Branch President or Bishop. i just couldn't let them in. I've been fighting against suicidal stuff too and multiple times a day voices. I hope that Tuesday has taught me the lesson (the hard way) that i can do hard things. I fought most of the way on my own out of an drowning attempt. I'm getting so confused which is the voice of the Holy Ghost and the mental health voice cos it's both the same places

If not for my sufferings and challenges in life, i will not believe in the Book of Mormon nor on the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day saints. It is through my trials and sufferings that led me to have a testimony about the Lord Jesus Christ. I know He lives, i know it. And i know that the Book of Mormon testified of Him. I love and obey the Lord Jesus Christ because of the Book of Mormon.

Minute 52:00 At age 17, I saw my first Ray Of Light; at age 54, I saw my 6th Ray Of Light. They radiate from Heaven just as Elder Dushku says. They are totally unpredictable. Totally unexplainable. Totally unscripted. But, totally meaningful and significant to me. Yours will be different from mine. At age 66, none of my life's expectations has occurred ... yet. Only my 6 Rays Of Past Light maintain my hope for my future. Thanks for the reminder Elder Dushku.

You and me, brother. Conference uplifts me and discourages me at the same time. I thought I was going to bawl my brains out at the organ introduction to "I know My Savior Loves Me" alas I have no tears left.
Ask God and the missionaries you will feel it! I had a long journey of sin and repentance to do. I did it with their help I am worthy now, and so will you be soon!

1:20:20 in my opinion is the best talk in general conference. The whole world needs to understand that the second commandment never out ranks the 1st great commandment. If you do indeed love your brother, then you will correct them. Integrity is a Christlike attribute. You must be true to God before everything else. 1:26:58. First commandment is most important. If you love your brothers, you will warn them.

Every General Conference broad- casted World wide have all been inciteful...each year these conferences speak volumes to God's children through His faithful servants...how blessed are we to hear His word, His Gospel and His teachings through our church leader's...their words of wisdom allows us to deepen our relationship with Him...thank you all for sharing your testimonies...I am truly in awe of our Church Leader's for their constancy in re-iterating and for reminding us to "Come follow Him".

I was born in to the Church. I think and really hope that i am on the up and up. I've been struggling with mental health and sfuff like that. Right now it feels like I am on the up and up. I've been doing dumb stuff that could have killed me multiple times over cos of mental health which we are working to fix right now and there no Temple close to me it's half a country away from me or more. I've been in this and out of this dark space my whole life even though i have been a member my whole life. I've been fighting alone until just recently when i let in my Bishop where i wouldn't before cos of trust issues even though i knew they were called by God would have to be safe to get the job of Branch President or Bishop. i just couldn't let them in. I've been fighting against suicidal stuff too and multiple times a day voices. I hope that Tuesday has taught me the lesson (the hard way) that i can do hard things. I fought most of the way on my own out of an drowning attempt. I'm getting so confused which is the voice of the Holy Ghost and the mental health voice cos it's both the same places
