I’ve always admired the way klaus interprets his feelings, it’s like a work of art. A masterpiece. This is one of the reasons why he is my favourite character.
Everything he said hits hard. He's teaching us the cruel reality of this world in the most poetic way. It also proves how great as a character he was. His mind was so deep and everything he said is so beautiful. It's so healing and empowering ngl, specially the one he said the the police office( Cami's friend), it made me cry. I can listen to his philosophy all day:(
I definitely understand Niklaus' view of painting and art being the soundest feeling of control and letting go. The knowledge that every choice is yours yet you don't know where you're going until you get there. Your mind running a mile and standing completely still at the same time.

The interpretations I got from all these philosophical lines is the inner humanity of Niklaus Mikaelson, buried beneath a thousand years of built-up narcissism, uncontrolled rage and the desire to dominate everyone and everything around him.

Its scenes like these that makes me wish that Klaus was raised by his actual father and not Mikael, he might've actually grew up to be a better king than how he was in the show. Plus he wouldn't have had a terrible childhood
I think Elijah only got "philosophical" when he was making excuses ngl. I mean I LOVE his character, but when Klaus said sh!t it wasn't just to excuse his actions. It was literally just how he lived
