Power Rangers Lightning Collection Wave 1 Review

The Lightning Collection has arrived! Bandai America has previously released their Legacy collectible line of action figures, featuring Power Rangers from various seasons. But now with Hasbro owning the license, the Lightning Collection is their version... and it's better than ever! These are 6 inch action figures, with great paint and articulation. There's no Build-A-Megazord piece, which means instead we can get more accessories, special effects pieces, and even civilian heads! These figures also don't look overly muscular and instead the folds in the suits are molded into the toys making them look like they've jumped right of your TV screen. This first wave includes the Mighty Morphin White Ranger, SPD Shadow Ranger, Dino Charge Red Ranger, and Lord Zedd. All of the civilian heads look amazingly like the actors and the toys just look fantastic. We've gotten many versions of the MMPR White Ranger over the years, but this is truly the definitive version in my opinion (not comparing to the SH Figuarts which is more of a collectible model than a play toy and far more expensive). The Shadow Ranger looks absolutely amazing, especially with Commander Cruger's head on. Lord Zedd is the other figure in this wave (and the one that is short packed in each case) and he looks stunning with all of the tubing on his body and included accessories. All in all, these are absolute must buys for any Power Rangers fan and are some of the best Power Rangers figures we have ever gotten.
