I love that Melanie came up with the "Cracks" solo 5 minutes before she was due onstage, and it ended up becoming one of the best solo (if not THE best) in So You Think You Can Dance history.
She is like watching an angel dance - there is so much light around her. She moves me to tears everytime I watch her. There are no words to adequately express how gorgeous she is. It is like a total spiritual experience watching her. Thank you Melanie for sharing your incredible talent with us!!
There are so so many things I love about Melanie, but it's especially that in her solos she doesn't feel like she needs to cram in as many "tricks" as possible to entertain the audience - the "tricks" she does have, i.e. walking on her metatarsals, tilts into roll, etc., are timed to perfectly to have the biggest artistic impact. Her artistry is beyond insane. She's the definition of an artist, and of an entertainer.
I agree 100% she knows when to do a trick to be as dynamic as possible and when to show off her amazing technique. sometimes its not all about tricks and she knows that for sure,
ive seen alot of dancers, but ive never seen one that cause chills up and down my spine. dancing is never just about what you can do but how you do it. she puts passion in her dancing, in ever inch of her body. she allows the audience to feel what she feels to experience what she experience. the emotions she portrays in her dancing is what makes her real. i respect that
I love so many things about Melanie. She has incredible form yes and is technically brillant but it is so much more than that. She is so graceful and fluid and dances with such elegance. When she dances it is like she is floating. She also dances with such emotion. You can feel everything. Finally, her musicality is terrific. The music becomes part of her dancing in the best way. This is why to me she is hands down the best dancer they have ever had.
She is amazing! I watch her land her leaps on her toes and guide herself down on the tops of her feet to her knees without breaking anything. She is made of iron! and gorgeous to watch.
@coffeetea720 I know! Didn't Nigel say that he thought it was one of the best solos ever? That's high praise coming from him. All of her solos were amazing, but that one in particular is astounding! And it would be even without the fact that she made it up just before she went out on stage!
I need more Melanie Moore. Here's hoping they bring her back numerous times this season for all-star week, or just as a separate performance. I want to see more of her.
I know nothing about dance or moves or the technicalities of it all, but Melanie is truly inspirational. The way she bends her legs or falls or points her feet. It's like she's a rubber band or something, I don't get it. It's so beautiful.
i think she's probably the strongest contemporary female winner but i question her range of emotions and style. all i can see her do really well is soft and ethereal and the same goes with when she does other styles. BUT i do think she's the strongest female contemporary winner
the move at 0:14- 0:17 :O how she arches backward out of her split at 2:18 :O the jump at 2:48. :O the layout into the split at 2:58 :O the move she does at 3:40 :O only a few of the reasons why she is soooo amazing. not to mention her emotion.
melanie is very good. in my opinion: sasha M (season8) melanine, allison, kathryn m, lauren frodman, lauren G, Katie (season 4), ellenore (season 6) kayla (season 5) and jeanine (season 5) are the best female dancers on so you think you can dance USA. For the guys i think travis wall (season 2) and Jakob Kar(season 6) are the best ever. Billie (season 6), Neil (season 3), danny (season 3), brandon (season 5), ade (season 5), alex wong (season 7), kent boyd (season 7) are also the best.
Yeah, I think it's pretty much expected with higher-level dancers now. At least that's how it is where I am from. It's actually not as hard as you might think, though.
Yes- I've never seen such wonderful feet! It's a gift from God. I wonder what she is doing now. She must be with a company Nigel said he would "hunt her down" and so did one of his famous company director friends.
Melanie has incredible strength and grace, but I feel like I only watched one solo. A penche into a forward roll in almost every one. Same choreography in each solo but ordered differently. I got bored.
It so apparent from her audition that she was above all the other dancers. I love watching her dance!!
Miss you Melanie! -3
Favorite winner of SYTYCD ever. Fave contestant even.
I love that Melanie came up with the "Cracks" solo 5 minutes before she was due onstage, and it ended up becoming one of the best solo (if not THE best) in So You Think You Can Dance history.
Her fricking cracks solo hunts me to this day! It is just so incredibly flawless.
She is like watching an angel dance - there is so much light around her. She moves me to tears everytime I watch her. There are no words to adequately express how gorgeous she is. It is like a total spiritual experience watching her. Thank you Melanie for sharing your incredible talent with us!!
I love Melanie. Thank you for putting this together - I find the need to watch her again and again every so often.

Breathtaking.
off to my daily stalking and admiring Melanie Moore..
I clicked on this for the 1000000th time and said to myself,
"time to cry."

I could watch her dance forever.
i wanna cry.
her point is incredible
she is sooooo versatile and her precision is amazing she executes every move flawlessly i love her soooooooo much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The black dress she wore for the "My Love" solo is GORGEOUS.
When she dances I can't help but hold my breath... just beautiful.
I must say, she picks the most amazing pieces of music. I love every single one from 'The Meadow' to 'My Love'. :)
She's so fearless! My role model.
she was born to
Speechless
"Cracks and Song for Viola " my favorites..... what a great tilt at the last solo !
Melanie Moore and Jeanine Mason are my favorite female soloist/winners from the show. :)
the last solo was just too short!! 30 seconds of delight!
she is incredible. I think she is one of the best dancers ever to be on SYTYCD
Best sytycd winner for sure!
she is stunning
Met her. Danced with her. She's SOOO sweet and Super amazing:)
She is amazing! I watch her land her leaps on her toes and guide herself down on the tops of her feet to her knees without breaking anything. She is made of iron! and gorgeous to watch.
I cry EVERYTIME...She's BEAUTIFUL!
Seriously, her solo to Cracks even now I get the chills watching it. She's incredible!
Holy crap this girl is AMAZING
her talent is beyond words holy. i knew from the moment i watched her dance that she would win.
so glad she won.

I can't decide which one I like the best...Favorites do not exists when it comes to Melanie Moore Solos.
I need more Melanie Moore. Here's hoping they bring her back numerous times this season for all-star week, or just as a separate performance. I want to see more of her.
she´s my idol
Melanie's Song choice is Incredible!
WoW!! thats what I had been saying from she first auditioned. and she never stopped WoWing me 'til she won!!
I know nothing about dance or moves or the technicalities of it all, but Melanie is truly inspirational. The way she bends her legs or falls or points her feet. It's like she's a rubber band or something, I don't get it. It's so beautiful.
Pure poetry in motion.....
Even though she repeats a lot of her moves, she makes them look fresh & new each time
This sytycd beat in the end of the song, breaks all the emotion
She's in over pointe. She walking on the knuckles of her toes. Safer but still very impressive.
I have no words...
id vote for her just for dancing to a flux pavillion remix
Melanie has the best music taste!
2:01 - 2:33 ? Her moves have are relatively the same but her attitude and the effect is all different.
i think she's probably the strongest contemporary female winner but i question her range of emotions and style. all i can see her do really well is soft and ethereal and the same goes with when she does other styles. BUT i do think she's the strongest female contemporary winner
Melanie:
The Queen of Beasts...
i know right?
the move at 0:14- 0:17 :O how she arches backward out of her split at 2:18 :O the jump at 2:48. :O the layout into the split at 2:58 :O the move she does at 3:40 :O only a few of the reasons why she is soooo amazing. not to mention her emotion.
Scarily enough most advanced comtemporary dancers appear to be able to do that.

I see her do these beautiful dances and my ankles start screaming "dont you dare try that!!" LOL
I just had goosebumps for 4 minutes and 10 seconds. 0_0

NO ME CANSO DE VERLA , ELLA BAILA CON SENTIMIENTO , TRASMITE MUCHO ..
I love her little so you think you can dance dance
love the fact that she used Angus & Julia Stone and Sia!
MELANIE!
I recently saw her as Ermengarde in Hello, Dolly! on Broadway, she was so funny :)
its called the meadow. from the new moon soundtrackk :D
great video :)
Melanie was my fav
I love her solo's because they're like routines.
When I grow up I want to be like her.
literally got chills at 2:05!
Are those splits where she falls from front splits or side splits?
What's the jump at 2:46 called? :O
It's called a knuckle walk. She's walking on the tops of her toes. Not on the tips.
Ughh I Wish I Could Dance Like Her :'(
Yeah, I think it's pretty much expected with higher-level dancers now. At least that's how it is where I am from. It's actually not as hard as you might think, though.
2:35 why are her dances so short?
me too!
Did she just walked on pointe without pointe shoes in 3:40???
Could anyone explain to me what the fuck is that at the end of each of the solos?
what the name of her song?
What song is this??
yeah it's not that easy but possible. I learned that last year.
All SYTYCD solos have to be the same length.
yép she did !
alexandre desplat-new moon(the meadow)
I think she love twilight LOL! :)
Yes- I've never seen such wonderful feet! It's a gift from God. I wonder what she is doing now. She must be with a company Nigel said he would "hunt her down" and so did one of his famous company director friends.
If you do pointe with your toes crunched under then you're not doing it right...
yea dude, most contemporary dancers do that
3:40. my goodness.......
*needle* into roll
check out Megan Branch i am lost. It's insane
she bent her toes over aha
Melanie has incredible strength and grace, but I feel like I only watched one solo. A penche into a forward roll in almost every one. Same choreography in each solo but ordered differently. I got bored.
Her feet
