  • Brought some new steel plates for nothing lol ..ah well ..least it done now regardless
    Symptoms ..
At around 40-50mph the Rev counter used to fly straight up into red like I'd suddenly pulled clutch in ...clutch was obviously slipping (max top speed was only 50mph) ..now it's all fine and can hit 70mph .....if I'd known I could sand the steel discs I could have saved some money and time having to fit 2 clutches lol .....

Have replaced new discs and suddendly the slipping and revs when reaching 6000 rpms, would try sand them, thanks for the advice from a friend in shith**l**e México. The discs are new and the clutch basket too.

Good video. My bike seems to now slip under good revs on 6 month old friction disks. Is there some form of adjuster to compensate for the different thicknesses or sonthing

sadly not as such ..just the normal cable adjuster should have around 3 mm of free play ...only thing you can do is change the friction discs and clean / replace the steels

@@oldfartuk 45k on my '07 YBR. Still going strong but sometimes the clutch slips a little, but only when pinning it and shifting above 6k rpm.
Gonna check plates since I will be cleaning the oil filter soon, hence opening the right hand side of the engine.
