- we are headed back for some more drag racing at I29 dragway in pacific junction ia. this is the second time for the s-10, the rwd converted 2006 monte carlo, known as project frankenstein, and the first time for the monza mans monza with the new rear suspension.
its been a long hard journey to this point, and hopefully it was all worth it. thanks for watching and subscribing everyone.
my 1993 s10 aka "project blackie" is being built cheveefarmer style, from the weeds to the drag strip.
i am installing a 406 small block chevrolet engine backed by a 4l80E overdrive transmission, 9" ford rear end. plans are to drive this truck to the track and drag race it, hitting the 9 second range is the goal.
the 06 montecarlo is now rear wheel drive, via an aluminum block 5.3 ls, backed by a 4l80e transmission, and a 8.8 mustang rear axle.
similar years of these w body cars are 1999 2000 2001 2002 2003 2004 2005 2006 2007, pontiac grand prix, Chevrolet Impala / Impala Limited, Buick LaCrosse / Allure.
similar years of these chevy / gmc s15 compact pickup trucks are 1982 1983 1984 1985 1986 1987 1988 1989 1990 1991 1992 1993 1994 models are baja cameo el top gun sst Gypsy Magic durango zr2 sonoma s-15 blazer jimmy scyclone gt v8 swap conversion sport, short and long bed extended cab 4x4 tahoe base.

Man ooo man looking a lot better.Love the whole video drive to the track and all.I would have A blast just being there.So many variables on thinking what to fix to make it better.But geeez man she is running on the track now.Sounds a lot better.Cam,heads,carb,timing.Summer is coming.
cant wait for warmer weather, its like 5 degrees as we speak. racing starts april 2 here. got some plans for the s10 to make it better, hopefully, LOL
Hold on Farmer.Let me get up off my lounge chair and get more tanning oil lol.In Cali here where the good the bad and the worst live..Need to call Clint Eastwood to clean up this place..I live next to the Pomona and Fontana track.They have been closed do to pandemic and been hearing a lot more street racing going on here.
@@joshuagarvey9362 im jealous of all you warm climate people, every year i keep asking myself why the fuxk do i live in this deep freeze. ive heard alot about whats in cali, god help you all. our track was closed last year for a few months from covid, and closed almost all year for flooding from the missouri river the year before. we got secret street racing around here, but im not in the in crowd that does it, so im sol on that too, LOL

What about putting a Holley fuel injection system on the s10.
not against it, little pricey though. it has some problems i need to get figured out, i just hope the cam isnt going flat.. i know its not the carb, had 3 diff ones on it. the biggest prob is it will not rev past 6000 rpm, i should be shifting it at 6500 rpm. it should turn 7000 rpm no problem, it hits a brick wall at 6000 and will not rev any higher.
