Use the SUMX Function in Power Pivot

  • This video will cover a simple case of how to use the SUMX DAX function. You can think of it as a cousin to the SUMPRODUCT function, but more powerful when using it in PowerPivot. In addition, I'll cover another example of how it can be used to enable to calculate the correct total averages for an example data set. See the video to learn more.

    Thanks! Sir how can we confirm 3.49 is wrong average?

      In this example we are looking at the weighted average for this table and that's why I labeled it as the wrong value to use. If we were ONLY looking at the average of the prices (and not taking in consideration of the quantity), then 3.49 is correct.
