Seriously asking, My office work on graphic designing. can you access printer manufacture settings with this setup ?. I mean settings like "paper type" , "color proofing", "detail quality". just like a "normal" printer in windows with driver in it. sorry for my bad grammar
Sorry but the phrase sound better in Spanish: *Se pone de pie para aplaudir* ( He stands up to clap his hands) U are a genius, thanks a lot for create this video 😍
You need to add the brother printer drivers for some older brother printers My DCP 7065dn need it Easy install apt-get install printer-driver-brlaser Install several drivers.
Thanks, excellent tutorial. Ive watched a few videos to make a Rasp Pi 3B work as a print server but ive only had very limited success. Brother labelers dont work at all as i cannot find drivers. Dymo Label 450 prints test but i cant get it show up on my main PC. I think i will just try with a standalone print server.
I have installed HP Deskjet 1212 printer on my raspi zero. It is working fine and am able to print pdfs perfectly. However, after enabling overlayFS (making the SD card readonly) printing doesn't work. Again when I disable overlayFS (make the SD read/write) it works fine as earlier. All functions of raspi work fine when overlayFS is enabled except for printing. Enabling overlayFS is crucial for the deployment of my application. What I see in /var/log/cups/error_log is a 'filter-failed' error. I'm sure it's not the real problem as filter is working fine when overlayFS is disabled. Any help would be appreciated.

Hello friend, nice work from you. How to weather my printer is supported with cups or not? My printer model number is brother dcp-l2520d, can we make this wireless server? Will appreciate your help.
I am trying to use canon mf 4750 with raspberry pi 3b+ but cups does not have mf series listed. even if try to add ppd file for the same it gives me rastertoufr2 error ( the file mentioned in ppd not present) is there any solution which will help to integrate above mentioned printer with raspberry pi.
I tried this but my Brother Printer, HL2280DW, was not on the supported printers. So, I found the PPD file and used that. No Joy. I have tried several of the listed drivers with no success. ( see support.brother.com/g/b/downloadlist.aspx?c=us_ot&lang=en&prod=hl2280dw_us&os=128#SelectLanguageType-10033_0_1) Using the PPD file worked on my linux Mint and Ubuntu installs. Any ideas on what to do? Do I need to buy a new printer?
Short and precise, thank you Caroline Dunn :) ___________ With USB-cable this failed for some reason. With WLAN, it worked :) I have a Brother HL3140CW laser printer. My Raspberry Pi is a Rpi4 with 8GB of Rams, and with Raspberry Pi OS + the latest updates and full upgrades.
