He was very handsome and hus character figured out her abilities because they didn't make him stupid and I loved that he fell fir her first. He was going to cancell the arranged marriage until he found out it was her.

What always gets me about this drama. They are calling the FL names about being dirty for dating so soon after her divorce while his mistress is hanging on his arm. Why didn't that make her dirty going after a rich married man. In my world that is a Gold Digger. 💰💸🤑
As it was explained to me, culturally speaking, ex wife was given the "position" as his wife and then it was taken away once he felt she was worthless. After that, she is considered lower than dirt in his (and those close to him) eyes.
And the mistress is considered the "new toy", so she is given more respect in society since she's not the "discarded woman" in the man's life.

Mhm I feel bad for the mistress in this situation, she doesn’t have a good dad clearly and he didn’t teach her well. Though her mother is much better, it seems she just spoiled her while the dad was very strict and basically abusive (?) to her. I know nothing about Chinese families nor culture, so I cannot say this is abuse because while it may be in America, I have no idea in China. She also has a husband who is prone to give her up at some point and she has to go through the same exact thing as the FL except she doesn’t have anyone else by her side. She is rude but no one deserves this treatment just for being rude?
