Good to see you back to making videos, good to see Bob, the stainless on the blade throws a lot of people off, always check the forks and spoon in sets, lots of people see the stainless on the knifes and get rid of them thinking they have little to no value. Good score, good for you guys.

Most silver sets have knives with stainless blades but the handles are silver. This prevents the silver from wearing off into your food and makes the knife last longer. The knife blade is the most abused part of the set and needs to be a little tougher. Stainless also resists discoloration from acidy foods (therefore stain-less).

Shane this is your channel. Put on whatever you want. It has always been about the side hustles and how to have fun while making extra money. Just keep cutting your cords and scrap where you can and when you can as money is money. If you can you should still scrap at those town wide cleanouts. Those always made good entertainig videos.

Finaly back with a junk removal! A sweet one, not too challenging as far as I can tell and with some nice treasures for you. Yeah, Bob reminded me of the good old days. I undertand you had to move ahead, but I used to enjoy your shows so much! There’s lots of competition for every business . If the junk haulers in your area aren’t charging enough , their business won’t be sustainable . With the costs of vehicle maintenance , salaries, insurance and supplies for the business being higher?
I don’t know if you watch another channel called Sonoma Strong Hauling and Junk Removal , they have lots of great tips .

Plate cannot be marked as sterling. The knife handles are almost always stainless, but the handles should say sterling, like the rest of the set. Oops, now I see that you found all that out for yourself. What a score!!! I can't believe they threw that away. It was SOOOOOOOoooooooooooooo good to see Bob!!!!!!!!!!! I adore him. I'm sorry to hear that he is having challenges. Should have picked up the whole corning percolator....good money on ebay. Thanks for a great video!!
He told them it was plated but it did have Stainless on the knives. So he kind of lied but its on the guy for not checking.

Thats 💯 good sterling set. Those go online as singles quite well. Folks looking to fill in missing spots in theor sets. Look them up well. And yes, all blades are stainless, the handle is 925. Great score!!!

The worst though, was my soul mate died on September 14th, we buried him last Thursday.
My God the pain of his loss will always be with me.

For the knives I think silver is too soft so the blades are always stainless. The handles will likely be sterling, they are hollow inside with sand filler.

Silver is too soft for cutting anything, at least more than once; sterling set knife blades are always steel. If a flatware set says [blank] "silver", it's plated. If it says Sterling, it's silver. "Nevada silver" = plated, EPNS = silverplate, etc. If it says Sterling it's real. Reno nightmares? I have a friend who lives in a 1790s umortared foundation house... so yes I would believe the nightmares! BTW - Hello Bob!

That safe as long as it's open may be able to have the combination changed. There is probably an access panel on the inside of the door, check on line in you know the manufacturer and there may be instructions for changing the combination. Good to see another video, it's been a while. I can understand with all you have going on.

I love the fact you post what you charge for each clean out job you do, but I think you are cutting your own throat with that information and causing your own competition woes. Stop telling us what you charge Shane, generalities will suffice.
sadly i am unscribing you should have taken the cutlery set back the man might not have known he had it and plus its value as well as it looked like he could of used the extra funds
The man seemed like he knew what he wanted and what he wanted to keep. Shane asked about different piles a number of times. Even if he did not know the silverware was there it was on the man to know what is in the piles. The man did not appear to need funds at all!
