So as I see it NW came in with a game plan. They have 2 good guards and 3 goons they wanted to share fouls on Zach. Their strategy was to hack a Zach all game and keep it close, then hope one of their guards could steal it at the end. The constant elbows to Zach and the hooks worked out AND their guards hit some good 3 pointers. Now if I was Painter, I would have reversed this a bit. The first time there was a hook or an elbow to Zach, I would have brought in one of the freshmen guards who never plays and had him HARD foul Boo Buie. Then brought in another guard to do the same. I would tell the guards to hit Boo Buie freaking hard and leave him on the ground. Then I would ask the NW coach if he wanted his star player crippled or if the teams could play basketball.
