Honestly, I'm not suprised at all by Mamoswine. I was lucky enough to catch a 100% IV back on its community day. And I maxed it as a raid counter. Ive been using it in Master league since GBL started, but I've always struggled with team comps to support it. Thank you so much for highlighting this team.
Been there done that. Mamoswine was the first community day I participated in. So I'm pretty fond on it. But I was struggling pretty hard with Mamoswine in former season.
I use a team with a very similar strategy: Mamoswine, Garchomp, Snorlax. The most common lead loss for Mamoswine you will se is Metagross. When I see a Metagross, I go straight into Snorlax and look to win back switch advantage. I like it because it not only acts as an ABB team (lead + double coverage), but also as and ABC team because Snorlax is a great safe switch. I also best buddy my Snorlax because it hits a lick breakpoint at lvl 41 which means it beats Gyarados convincingly, which is also a common safe switch.
Hey, I've been using this team for master last season and it really worked. Unfortunately, I was not able to teach some of these pokemon a new move because of a lack of stardust. The team is: Melmetal - Rock Slide Gyrados - Waterfall, *Aqua Tail, Crunch Metagross - Bullet Punch, *Meteor Mash
I love the breakdown of one of the fights. You are too kind, man! You teach us great team compositions but more importantly how to fight well in PVP. I suck so much at first but continuously watching your videos made me a lot better. Thank you so much!
Hey ZyoniK, I started playing PoGo PvP during the last few weeks of S3 and watching your channel has been really helpful to get to know the meta and how to play (when to use shields, when to farm down, etc). Thanks! I have a suggestion: I have a ton of experience with the MGS (I played in tournaments since ~2001 and I was a VGC Judge from 2015 to 2018) and one thing I really like is doing simulations of specific situations to test "what if" moments that could have happened in battles. For example, in your last battle during this set you said you could've swapped to Garchomp to use a Sand Tomb, let Togekiss farm you down, then finish with Metagross. You could do a few sims using pvpoke to analyse what could have happened, show the difference between Bullet Punch damage between a normal Togekiss and one with -1 Def, etc. In general, I think that pausing a battle to show some damage calculations/sims could be very useful and entertaining. Again, thanks for your vids! \o/
At 8:44 you threw the sand tomb to “farm down even more” with your metagross. By lowering the togekiss’ defense you are actually denying some farm for your metagross and had to expend a shield anyway. You actually wasted 40 energy from your garchomp and denied an extra ~21 or 28 energy on your metagross by throwing that sand tomb. I’d recommend holding the sand tomb next time and just expect to invest a shield for a full farm down on togekiss. Love the videos as always!
If you haven’t used this team yet try it tyranitar (bite, crunch, stone edge) Dragonite (either first move is fine, dragon claw, hurricane) roserade (razor leaf, grass knot, sludge bomb) this team will kill anything except a Togekiss
The main drawback and reason why I stopped using Mamoswine is that it can so hardly fulfill one of the core roles why you run it: To counter Metagross. Bulldoze is so crappy that it cant OHK Metagross or get him low enough to actually farm down without always having to use 2 shields(because Meteor Mash will OHK you). Its nice vs Dragonite obviously but so is Togekiss. Its nice vs Togekiss too but you have Metagross for that. I dunno Mamoswine does a little bit of everything but nothing it does is so outstanding. Bulldoze is so bad that most of the time you even use Avalanche even when Bulldoze is super effective because the opponent just hits back so hard (Bullet Punch for example).
The Garchomp switch in against Mamoswine had to be a mis-click. I feel like they only baited with sand tomb because they realized they goofed and their only opportunity to make up for the bad switch was to burn your shield. Mamoswine would have been easily dispatched if they brought in their Metagross and used only a single shield, even if you had a powder snow or two’s worth of energy as a head start.
Nice to see you using the mamoswine, he came in clutch for me last season since I only had 4 mons for premier at the time, he is a little glassy tho. So often I found myself 1 fast move away from the bulldoze to take out the metagross who’s the beast of ML premier. So happy I was able to get a CD metagross for this season, ML has cost me 410k dust so far and we’re on day 2😂
I'm lvl 37 have 3 mons I can use mamoswine 15/15/14 machamp 15/14/15 dragonite 13/15/15 and I thought I'd be miserable in master but mamo is a beast and kept my ratio positive today with a few 5-0s
Great battles man, I got a 100% Mamo and not been able to fully power it up (at the moment it has 3186 CP) but still I love seeing my favorite Ice type Pokémon in action and had good results today with Mamo, Dragonite and Swampert. As you mentioned, Mamoswine has very good coverage against many of the Meta like the Dragons, Togekiss and even Metagross with Earth Power. Don't underestimate this Mamooth in battle.
I played against you this morning.. your garchomp vs my togekiss, when i saw your garchomp i knew you would switch to your mamoswine because i saw your previous video.. aaaand i made a teribble misclick by going in with my garchomp instead of my metagross.. i will wait for my revanche!
Yeah I was wondering what I could run this with. I watched Zyoniks best teams video but I have no Garchomp and no good Dragonite so I can't make any of the teams haha.
Nice team 👌🏻 I’ve was running Garchomp, Magnezone & Gyarados. But those Togekiss & Dragonite leads were so common today that I had my worst ever GBL day 🙈 I might try replacing Gyarados with Mamoswine 👍🏻
That team is crazy, I’ve been using literally the same one but Mamoswine as the lead and Garchomp with Earthquake instead of Sand Tomb, currently 12-3 out of 15
I am currently running gyarados-dragon breath-twister-hydro pump, kyurem-dragon breath-dragon claw and metagross-earthquake-bullet punch-meteor mash. So far it works realy good! Road to rank 10!!
Mamoswine makes good coverage pokemon use in masters eague, Tanglegorowth is also a good mon to use due to good bulk and coverage against water and ground types.
Amazing battles. I won a deciding battle of a set today because of a last-minute Ancient Power boost on my Togekiss lol. Overall more wins than losses today.
Good thing I've been planning on investing in my mamoswine. Except i was thinking of using Ancient Power/Avalanche so i could have one charge move for shield baiting. I do have a second mamo that i changed ancient power to earthquake though
I have a Mamoswine but with Mud slap, should i change it to powder snow? my team is Gyarados(Waterfall, AquaTail and Crunch, Machamp(Counter,CrossChop and Rock Slide) and Togekiss(Charm, Ancient Power and Flamethrower) with those steel pokemon i think should i add Mamoswine to the team i guess
Only by going into shield disadvantage. And even not landing a charge move, powder snow will heavily chunk both. So you basically go up at least a shield and take out 2/3 of a Pokémon. But good players are dynamic, not static. They won’t just stay in a losing matchup and try to RPS it out. They squeeze every advantage out of a matchup possible then swap often to keep opponent on the back foot. Being glassy, but with great coverage, Mamo is a high risk, high skill cap, high reward pick. It rewards flexible and outside the box play.
I used Mammoswine today as well (I figured out fun team which worlked well last season) and dropped 140 points. I am not sure If I should stick with it or change....
Oh shit, I never have pokémon featured in videos because I started playing in 2021, but Garchomp had a Com Day, Metagross had an Incense day and Mamoswine has a spotligh hour in a few days!
Nice showcase! I have a question though - I have a 15/15/11 Snorlax with double moves and almost fully powered up... but I got a 14/15/14 one pretty recently, far from powered up, but I really want a Snorlax, as I love the safe swaps haha. What do you think, is - it worth using the dust and snorlax candy for the 15/15/11 one? Or should I wait until I can power up the other one...?
I myself would go with the 15/15/11 as your saving so much dust and 4 hp on a snorlax isn't noticeable. I carefully have to balance dust and iv's as well, so that's what I would do :)
@@ZyoniK That's true! The difference is spending 80k dust compared to 321k haha... could as well best buddy it for the future:) Thanks a lot! Wonder if you have any surprise spice picks for us even in Master League;)

How do we get our battles featured?I finally managed the stardust to use a double shadow steel dragonite line and went 5-0 on my most recent set dragonite on the lead utilizing shadow BB meta gross as the ss and usually trying to catch a move and draw out there steel counter as well as apply shield pressure then come in with dragonite to finish off there steel counter and let shadow mag sweep endgame
I like this team because you showed it can lose lead to Togekiss and still come out with a win. I would've been apprehensive about bringing in Mamoswine against a likely Swampert, but Togekiss vs. Garchomp is GGs, so it's all about avoiding disaster.

Well my team to destroy master league is: Dragonite Cp:3100 Moves:dragonbreath and dragon claw Deals quick damage Gyarados Cp:3100 Moves:waterfall, crunch outrage Useful for everything Lucario Cp:2100 Moves:counter power-up punch and you can decide between shadow ball or close combat Use power-up punch at least one time then use your second move
How do you get charge moves to build that fast? My opponents get off 3 charge moves in the time my vaporean gets off 1 hydro pump. I don't get it - none of my mons have charge speeds that fast no matter how fast I tap. Any tips?
Vaporeon only has water gun, generating 3 energy per attack. Hydropump costs 75 energy You need 25 water guns or 12.5 turns to reach one For comparison a Swampert only needs 5 mudshots for 1 hydrocannon (5 turns)
@@ZyoniK thanks for the clarification. I just finished my first best buddy and i didn't know how it worked. The only reason i asked about the pass was because I feel like i lose more with the premium pass activated. It's probably that I just need to tweak my team a bit. Thanks

@@ZyoniK thanks for the clarification. I just finished my first best buddy and i didn't know how it worked. The only reason i asked about the pass was because I feel like i lose more with the premium pass activated. It's probably that I just need to tweak my team a bit. Thanks
Any guesses what is going to be the next raid boss?? And zyonik love your videos
Mamoswine was really powerful can't wait to try it
