Namaste, Santa! | From Writer/Director Rahul Chaturvedi (2021)

The IN DEVELOPMENT is a short promotional piece that is a "visual logline" for the feature project the filmmaker has developed with the CFC over the last five-and-a-half months.
Siddhu, an 8-year-old Indian boy, moves to small town Canada with his parents, Dinesh and Payal.
Like most families in their immigrant neighbourhood, Siddhu’s parents cannot afford new clothes
or toys for him. As a result, he routinely gets bullied by the rich local kids at school.
When Christmas comes around, Siddhu and his immigrant friends decide to impress Santa Claus
to get free toys and finally fit in with the other kids. Their parents initially oppose this idea, but
eventually come on board to win a town-wide Christmas decorating competition, for a prize of
10 thousand dollars. There is just one problem: none of them knows how to celebrate Christmas.
