Thats ray lewis man. Adrenaline his last year? That’s straight mind over matter. He holds his reputation for a reason. The mental battle is lost in the NFL today. It used to be war.
My junior year I lowered my shoulder too much into a block & broke my collarbone. The adrenaline made me feel the discomfort but not enough to stop playing. A few plays later, I went for a tackle & felt a big pop, followed by pain & utter disappointment. After that feeling I knew I was only hurting my team and myself
Adrenaline is a hell of a drug. In 1988 Lawrence Taylor played a game against the Saints with a completely torn pectoral muscle to record seven tackles, three sacks, and two forced fumbles. That's amazing!
@@kwandizzle843 I typed the truth and what I said exactly happened that way on the football field. I am not talking about his personal life or what he may or may not of done off the field. Those allegations against him were you present, if so you should have testified, but you weren't so you dont know for sure, either. That’s why he’s so respected man he’s passionate about the game of football and never gave up on his team and teammates I can imagine the agony he was in
Football is that !! I remember my second year in high school, I finally made the first team, and in literally my first game, I went up in like the second play to recover a fumble, and a giant dude slammed me into the ground and I landed with my hand, remembered it was the most horrible pain I’ve ever felt, but still played didn’t care nevertheless I couldn’t miss this opportunity, my parents were watching, I couldn’t let the down, and literally just in the change of possessions I started crying. Anyways, I was able to finish some plays, but was clearly hurt my coaches pulled me to the sideline and I had a broken wrist, missed the rest of the season. But those 20 minutes were like one of the best minutes in my life. Comeback to play harder than ever my senior year. When you love something so much you never let it go away no matter what it takes !!
The RB got up talking shit like he ran through Ray Ray 😒 only to later find out that the man that tackled you with ease was literally playing with a fukked up tricep 😳

Ray is a real man. I remember watching his workout video and he said something like, if you’re in pain , don’t show that it hurts. I think it was the video he was working out with Nelly. And when Ray said that, Nelly looked at him like this dude is crazy because I’m in pain😂😂😂😂
kids… if your hurt, come off the field. this is a great story but everyone is different… don’t think you gotta be ray to be great, he gone have these JV kids out here tryna fight through a broken vertebrae 😅😂
The only thing keeping this man in was his love for his team, and when he realized he was hurting them, he sat out, even if it hurt him to do so. That's the ultimate trust, sitting out as one of the greatest to ever play when you just made a play.
Not only that but dude's a real deal leader and the most telling thing to me was him saying "You can't show them (the opponents) you're hurt, for sure you can't show your team that your hurt" He was more worried about how his own team would perceive him being injured than the opponents. It's like "yeah, the other team can take advantage of my injury, but an even bigger sin would be me showing weakness to my troops". It's almost "fatherly", like in the same way most men have never (or very rarely) seen their fathers cry.
Coming from a life long steeler fan in Pittsburgh this man right here is a real man loved and hated playing against this guy lmao I remember he destroyed medinhall right after that hit I never heard of him again
