I fell in love with x's unique style of music ever since I heard his '17' project -- his smooth yet emo-esque melodies over certain boombap beats, capturing the important message of what the project was trying to evoke. I never understood what the craze with X was. After listening to this and reading the lyrics along I finally understand how destroyed he felt inside. You covered these songs beautifully.
Dude could convey any message on any beat. Truly one of the greatest to do it. You should look into his older SoundCloud sounds too when you get the chance.
wow that was so nostalgic. It brought me back to the days that I used to see X in the hall ways in middle school. He was always so quiet from what I remember. I would have never thought that he would become such a big inspiration to this generation as he did. RIP X and I cant wait to see what career his child chooses. it will be dope if he or she decides to carry on X's legacy.

X's music helped and helps me with so much. This year has been quite eventful. From suicide notes beside the bed, to pure red lines covering my arms, legs, and stomach...X helped me so much...he was so young and didn't deserve to die. I hope his music still helps others in the future. He was so special. I realize he did some awful things at the beginning of his career, but our pasts do not define who we are. I do not support X for the man he was in his past, I support him for the man he became. He was supporting, loving, and ever so caring. I recently watched a video of other famous rappers sending their condolences the the Onfroy family and friends, and inheritaly "reacting" to the passing of Jahseh. All of them said that X was always asking them if they were ok, and telling them that he was there for them...he truly cared for everyone. Rip Jahseh.

when I heard he died I fell off the wagon and cut his name into my skin... so hard to lose someone who you felt gave you so much hope and who truly understood what it meant to be seriously depressed. my heart hurts. I felt like he was someone who truly understood the pain and now I'm by myself again without anyone relating to me through music. This piece was beautiful I started crying again. thank you for making this Theorist.

The General I'm so glad! See, X still showing you that you're aren't alone in how you feel. He lives on through us, and he wanted all of us as fans, and even human beings, to break down those social barriers that keep us so emotionally detached and empathically numb to each other, by being open-minded and willing to experience things that may be very different from the 'normal' things that we've conditioned ourselves to think are 'acceptable' to enjoy. He wanted us all to be able to share who we really are with each other, and not be afraid or ashamed to do so. I loved X because my soul understood the pain, sadness, and feeling of being lost that he expressed in some of his music and lyrics. Our souls spoke the same language, and its in those musical moments I find peace, you know? Because, sometimes, just as you get to a point where it just doesn't seem worth it to always be so sad, and to always feel so uncomfortable and lost inside yourself, that when you say your own name, it almost seems foreign to your ears, and you feel like the ghost of a complete stranger...a song or sometimes even an entire album will pop out of no where like it had been waiting all this time for the perfect moment to give you just enough willpower to make it one more day.

I can't explain how beautiful this is. I remember in school when I used to play piano and I aspired to be great like you but unfortunately the GCSE wasn't an option for music. Therefore I had to deal with playing piano on my phone which didn't have the same experience as using the grand piano. This video really plays with my heart it's like I'm trying not to cry because this piece is marvellous. Really well done on this. Rest in peace and fly high Jahseh. His legacy really made a huge impact and difference to the music industry.
