Anyone remember dean cain superman? I did like the show he was in with teri hatchett with nostalgia..I have season 1 on dvd even.second superman to me is prob reeves..because he was the first one.
Christopher Reeve is the gold standard for Clark Kent/Superman & should be higher. I'm glad Brandon Routh got to redeem himself in COIE as Superman. Superman Returns was a great storyline but poorly executed onto the big screen. Tom Welling wasn't Superman, he played Clark Kent.
Obviously it's a no brainier! Christopher Reeves and let me tell you why! It's not how he performs as Superman, its how well he performs as Clark Kent! He really pulls it off!
Chris reeve supes was the blue print for the later comics and other actors I mean I didn't grow up with reeve but he is still my number 1. Also isn't routh technically the same superman than reeves? Just alternate timeline may be I'm wrong also another actor that struggled with having to be similar to chris reeve was the first superboy john newton
Reeves got the "Ah shucks" nerdy farm boy wit Clark the best He never stopped being the nerdy farm boy even as Superman he just tone it down when he was in the suit Especially at 9:14 that's spot on comic accurate Clark
Christopher Reeve will always be the best live-action Superman... at least until a new actor takes his genuine performance seriously and applies it to his own performance. Reeves theme is also the best. I just love how awkward and geeky his portrayal of Clark Kent is. No one would suspect Reeves Kent was Superman. And as Superman, he's so cool and honest.
DCAU but if we just stick to live action I think Dean Cain is by far the best as a modern Superman. The Reeves version is just too old school Superman for my tastes. Cain had some real character and warmth to him yet still humble. That show is really under rated due to the lackluster actual superhero action but the writing of the characters was spot on (in the first two seasons anyway). Also giving us the best live action Lex Luthor.
First of all I am a Batman guy but I always liked Superman a lot but I haven't read a lot of comics and havent seen anything other than the Movies and the Justice League shows but I always saw Superman and Clark Kent as the same person they have the exact same ideals almost the same personality the only difference is the confidence. I always saw Superman as just Clark without his timidnes. But as I said my knowledge of the character is pretty limited and I might be qrong due to that so anybody is welcome to correct me and also what are your recomendations for Superman stories? I am currently watching Superman TAS and recently saw All Star Superma
I would expect Reeves to come in number 3 for the new generation, he represents something that is dead...human spirit of goodness and genuine compassion. In this age of Batman nihilism reigns. But Reeves will always be my number one. ( 38 years old)
Love me some Superman. Though I adore Christopher Reeve as Supes, my fave is George Reeves. He wasn't the "all powerful" god-like hero we know, to me he was the epitome of a man who is super. I see both epitomizing the Dean Cain Superman's ideal that "Clark Kent is who I am, Superman is what I do". That being said, Superman is more than just a name, more than just a costume, more than just a power set. Superman is a quality of personality and characteristics of emotion. Just saying that with all the iterations of the Man of Tomorrow, I love them all, as long as they breathe the personality and characteristic life into the character. If one can't be the character than there is nothing different than my putting on my Superman costume, and a kid, standing with my arms akimbo, and proclaiming I am Superman.
I like Cavill best not because of what he’s done, but what he is also capable of doing. You can tell when given the right lines and scenes, HE IS SUPERMAN. Chris Reeve second and Daly/Newburn 3rd. BUT! On any given day depending on my mood of nostalgia or what not, they are interchangeable.
“He’s got a be a jacked dude” no he needs to be a symbol of hope, and a human, Cavill embodies Superman, but he doesn’t embody Clark Kent, he embodies the super, but not the man
I agree with you guys when you talk about Tyler Hoechlin Superman but the only reason why he's not better is because he's always playing second fiddle to the star of the show Supergirl they're always making him look weaker Supergirl always has to be the one that saves the day if it was his show and he was the star I feel he would do a lot better

Dean Cain. He was athletic, funny, and believable. The best part was that he got the job after only having like 10 minutes of prior acting experience
I loved Lois & Clark! 😍
Reeves was fantastic as Superman, the only thing he really lacked was muscle, but that face and hair really had the "superhero look" that's so iconic. Tom Welling was great, but he was Clark, he was only Superman for the ending scene of the final episode. But yeah, Welling was the best Clark and Reeves was the best Superman
Facts
I agree 👍 totally with Tom Welling being the best!
Jennifer Connelly should have been Lois in Superman Returns
1. Tim Daly
2. Christopher Reeve
3. Brandon Routh
4. Mark Valley (Dark knight returns)
5. Tyler Hoechlin
I like when Tom Welling showed up in the movie Draft Day
Anyone remember dean cain superman? I did like the show he was in with teri hatchett with nostalgia..I have season 1 on dvd even.second superman to me is prob reeves..because he was the first one.
He's my favorite Superman
@@rodster6campingprepper what I remember from the show His supes/Clark was good..its been a long time since I watched the show
Christopher Reeve is the gold standard for Clark Kent/Superman & should be higher.
I'm glad Brandon Routh got to redeem himself in COIE as Superman. Superman Returns was a great storyline but poorly executed onto the big screen.
Tom Welling wasn't Superman, he played Clark Kent.
You know, I wish Josh Whedon got the chance to make a Superman movie with Henry Cavill.
1) Christopher Reevea 2) Henry Cavill 3) Tom Whelling 4) Tyler Hoagland
Obviously it's a no brainier! Christopher Reeves and let me tell you why! It's not how he performs as Superman, its how well he performs as Clark Kent! He really pulls it off!
Henry cavil is the best and my favourite superman
1:43 Oh hell no, If you're gonna do that shit then my favourite Superman is Homelander.
Why is this even a ? Christopher Reeves playes the best Superman!!! The old cartoon was cool too!!
hahaha. As an avid comic book reader and person that has watched all the superman shows and movies. Henry is my favorite superman as well.
Reeves got the "Ah shucks" nerdy farm boy wit Clark the best
He never stopped being the nerdy farm boy even as Superman he just tone it down when he was in the suit
Especially at 9:14 that's spot on comic accurate Clark
Christopher Reeve is the best Superman.
The list is 1. Christopher Reeves
2. Henery Cavill
3 Brandon Routh
4 everyone else
I literally have Henry Cavill's Superman as my wallpaper lol
5. Dean Cain
4. Brandon Routh
3. Christopher Reeve
2. Henry Cavill
1. Tom Welling
Michael Breasseale same
Christopher Reeve is the best Superman ever!
While not the best one but the Brandon Routh Superman movie is very underrated
RIP Christopher Reeve you will always be superman we love you and miss you Christopher Reeve is number one superman
Henry cavill is not all "bruty" and angry in man of steel
No but if he isn't angry he is just mopy and emotionless.
Now that we got Superman and Lois, I would say Tyler is number 2 and Tom is 1.
Hope to see my man Henry again
Bright burn invalidates the list
Christopher Reeve #1
Chris Reeves
First of all I am a Batman guy but I always liked Superman a lot but I haven't read a lot of comics and havent seen anything other than the Movies and the Justice League shows but I always saw Superman and Clark Kent as the same person they have the exact same ideals almost the same personality the only difference is the confidence. I always saw Superman as just Clark without his timidnes. But as I said my knowledge of the character is pretty limited and I might be qrong due to that so anybody is welcome to correct me and also what are your recomendations for Superman stories? I am currently watching Superman TAS and recently saw All Star Superma
Yous guys really love The Blur!
*marinated into Reyes,
I would expect Reeves to come in number 3 for the new generation, he represents something that is dead...human spirit of goodness and genuine compassion.
I think Christopher reeve had the best Clark Kent of all time
One thing he got well was how much of a dork Clark was and this isn't a diss as I'm one lol
Would you include Tyler Hoechlin in your top 5 now after Superman & Lois?
I loved Smallville and Tom welling was an AMAZING Clark Kent. But he never got to play Superman so I wouldnt have him on my list.
Agreed 100%
“He’s got a be a jacked dude” no he needs to be a symbol of hope, and a human, Cavill embodies Superman, but he doesn’t embody Clark Kent, he embodies the super, but not the man
5.George newbern
4.tyler hoechlin
3.tom welling
2.tim daily
1.Christopher Reeves
I agree with you guys when you talk about Tyler Hoechlin Superman but the only reason why he's not better is because he's always playing second fiddle to the star of the show Supergirl they're always making him look weaker Supergirl always has to be the one that saves the day if it was his show and he was the star I feel he would do a lot better
Tyler heckler is definitely on my list in my top five as super man
Tyler Heckler? Lol his name is Tyler Hoechlin
