- Unedited continuous footage of our boys, who live on the ground. Shortcomings in appearance commonly associated with health are due to behavior. Consider our behavior, too. If you would, in light of common human decency and no small amount of experience.
We well know what they evidence.
The difference is, we understand it. Not interpret a rationale to suit convenience, but realize what's going on. Just maybe, enough to inform you. Providing you don't already know everything you need to. "Looks like a hoarding situation", and "I feel sorry for those poor piggies", is such a common refrain we suspect it learned by rote.
Nature allows for pain and suffering. People for various reasons, don't. We are quite beyond "not supposed to", for it being after the fact. For the lives of pigs, we chose that social convention be damned. Ergo, unpopularity. Not a problem, it's not why we're here. We are here for pigs. Specifically our number. For well over a decade, to protect their interests as a whole and individuals to best ability. Encouragement works. Discouragement does also, but knowing from where it comes, is little to balance.
Our videos go years back and we see the same thing on our boys. In the same place, every time. Not all of them. We watch them all though, and note difference in behavior between those who do have it, and those who don't.
Population and environment are factors we introduce and limit them to as caregivers. Others have admired the effect and we find concern they may attempt it similarly without knowing what they let themselves in for. People are free to do as they will, but animals are at cost too. At a minimum, it requires understanding.
One thing to, is people don't. They see. They judge. Not pigs. You. You are responsible, this is your doing, their suffering. People love their guinea pigs, to see yours doing badly means there's something bad about you. Add that to capriciously narrow views found on the internet and expect some abuse.
What you may find if you persist despite opinion, is their reality. It accounts for their presence under your auspices. - Домашні улюбленці та дикі тварини

When you have so many male Guinea pigs together and have a tend to squabble and they will bite their rear quarters and some pigs fight more than others, same as in natural environment...
Looks like irresponsible care letting guinea pigs stay in such an environment 😥
