This is the same guy who whined about Crosby missing out on the first day of the all star weekend. Sorry Sid ownes your Flyers. Now he's yapping nonsense about Vancouver? He should not cover hockey. Doesn't know anything. How does someone like him gain credibility?

I think it is very unfair to Petey.
He simple does not have the speed of McDavid and the physical strength of Draisaitl
But still he is a amazing player

Are the Sedins rubbing off on Petterson being soft? Maybe the Canucks need to hire Mats Sundin to motivate Petey to bulk up in size instead.

I'm a vancouver fan since 82. Frank is correct on petey in my opnion, the knee was an excuse. Petey is soft, he can't hit, he has average skating (according to NHL edge) and most importantly his attitude sucks. I hope he gets traded.

As a guy that dealt with multiple knee unjuries myself I would say that the way he was hitting by doing a half turn and hitting with his back shows knee pain. Ill bet Pettersson is stretching out the knee for hours a day now. Petey will be back soon and u will see how rong Seravelli is.

petie was the best player available in his draft but the teams picking ahead of vancouver passed on him and i think it was because he was 6'2" and a buck forty. he still has a slight build and is probably as big as he's going to get. it's why i wouldn't be upset if they decide to really gun up for next season and make lekkerimaki available as he has a similar build and the league is getting bigger and faster.

I tend to agree . Been watching the Canucks for over 50 years . I think Petterssons signing will turn out to be one of the worst in Canucks history . He's way to soft and physically weak for playoff hockey . He can't even stick handle in traffic . Just watch how he constantly gives up the puck . Regular season and playoff hockey are very different . You need grit in the playoffs and he just doesn't have it . Thought that from the first time I saw him play and nothing has changed my mind since .

Do you honestly think that Rutherford and the rest of the management team would of signed him if they didn't think he could play in the playoffs? The same management team that chose JT Miller over Horvat...traded for Hronek...Zadorav...Lindholm...and brought in Tochet with about 30 games left instead of waiting till the end of the season. I would go out on a limb and take Rutherford..his 3 Stanley Cups and his assessment of NHL players over your 50 yrs of watching hockey.
