Apple: Ok that’ll be $700 for the electronics in the phone another $500 for the screen and about $2,000 for the cameras Me: why? They basically did this with the MacBook Pro. A $53k tower and about 2k each monitor(u can have 7 total) and 1k for the stand. Add everything u can get (yes, there’s more than the things I listed) about 101 THOUSAND dollars for something you could work up to over time with a gaming PC a grand total of about 10k (I’m not a PC building genius so I don’t know if this is an accurate price)
As a merchandiser in a grocery store, I see this all the time. On one of our cereal resets, many of the boxes changed from 11.2 oz to 10.6 oz and the price remains the same. And last year, the sharing or family size bags of candy (m&m's Hershey's miniatures) changed design. Instead of bags, they are now pouches, and most likely contain smaller amounts than the original bags.
Every company now participates in "hidden price increases". To put it simply, they reduce the size of the product, reduce the amount of the product, and/or cheap out on ingredients but leave the price the same. Little Debbie is a great example of this. I don't eat that junk but I have noticed over the years just how often they resort to hidden price increases. Same can be said with cereal. Ever notice how cereal boxes are getting thinner and thinner from front to back? Yeah, the contents are being reduced. An excuse used when a customer notices "too much air in the container" of any product is "The contents settle in shipping.". Yeah, sure. You just reduced how much is in there and left the bag and/or box size the same because you still have a lot of the containers in stock. You will adjust the container size once you run out of current container stock. When a price increase is dramatic enough that the company thinks too many customers will notice, they will reduce the size only a little and jack up the price a little to try to smooth it out.
Same here ! I just blow on the screen. If it’s still there I give it a nudge with the tip of my nail, and if it’s STILL there, then it’s not really a hair/bit of dirt.

It's always on the package. Read it. Also "cocktail" means a mix. Cranberry juice cocktail, fruit cocktail, etc. will always have there stuff. That's why it's called a cocktail, and the package will say so. (By the way, the reason cranberry is usually a cocktail is because 100% cranberry, which you can get, is too bitter for most people to enjoy. I love the stuff, but don't know anyone else who does.)

When people have come to see a bag of chip with eight serving as being something for one person to eat in one sitting, it's not necessarily a bad thing to shrink the products.

But I know several stores that would sell them for the same price as a 20oz bottle and they would oddly not have any 20oz bottles. I think mfrs (Coke/Pepsi) have gone back to 20oz bottles, but they just upped the price (now a 20oz bottle of soda is about $2 at the store, whereas it used to be $1.50 or so).

There are apps you cant uninstall on samsungs too. You have to root the phone and perform some technical shenanigans to get rid of them permanently. Also they use type c chargers now. Which is funny cuz they dont include chargers anymore in boxes. 'To save the environment' they claim. Which is funny cuz you now have to buy them separately, which come in more plastic then if they just had them in the box. RadioShack used to do a pretty shady business tactic with their xmod RC cars. See, the motors and electronics were specifically designed to absolutely drain regular batteries. When I got mine, I put a fresh set of Duracells in mine and it literally drained them in under 30 seconds. I went in to refund them, and they informed me that if I wanted the battery life to last longer, I would have to purchase the radio shack brand rechargeable batteries. on top of that, the swappable gears and driveshaft were all made of plastic and we're prone to breaking easy forcing you to have to order more if you wanted to continue to be able to play with your RC. It really was quite sad. The xmod was actually a great introduction into hobby grade RCs
I love that Apple pays its people during recessions even in stores where it would make sense to lay people off. They're why we got through the 2008 recession. They're making sure everyone is paid through this virus panic. They don't stop paying people due to outside factors shutting businesses down or because of catastrophic economic downturns. Small thing I noticed. Walmart has some small acrylic paints 50c each and larger ones $2.50. The small is 2 fl oz the large 8. If you buy 4 small you would get the same quantity as the large but 50c cheaper.

It’s in japanese, not chinese.
If you don’t know for sure, don’t guess.
I know right !!!!!
Amen
Would you prefer them just say "some Asian language we don't know?"
Like goddamn chill. Your gonna complain regardless of what they do.
No but get it right since you chose to be on this huge platform spreading information. Make sure it's not false.
But they even said, “Of course it would be China to be the one to...”
And it’s not even china. They should just say, “This jumbo shrimp from asia ...”
What about apple advertising the wireless ear pods but then turn around and sell a cord to hold them incase they fall from your ears
Let us sue all companies who does the practice of maximizing profits illegally
that the problem, nothing is illegal from the practice of what they do, downsizing, hiding the real truth, misleading truth, downright lying, misinformation. Gov is not protecting us enough from all the malpractice of company, because there always this new thing appearing every day to screw you.
These practices are deceptive but not illegal.
Have fun trying to afford a lawyer and win over a multi million dollar company.
It's not illegal, and if you check the "offer" it's very rarely what you're mind tells you. But the information is there for all to see IF they look. 😊👍
Totally agree!! If you buy a company's product they should NOT send ads
I love these videos exposing food scams
6:00 i dont fall for that stuff
ive always said "It says $3 dollars over there and not $10"

RE: Toilet paper; even total square footage is of little value. I once took a cart filled with every brand of four roll packages to the produce section where I weighed each package and priced the brand per pound. The point was to determine what I was actually paying for how much paper. The results were surprising. Try it yourself.
The kind we usually buy was gone from the shelves last time we needed TP. Bout the 1000 sheet roll. Probably has 100 sheets. The sheets are smaller and only 1 ply.
@@gabrielleperson4794 A friend once pointed out that the tubes in some rolls are larger than others. Another way to trick the eye as to how much paper is on a roll. Weighing each package eliminates any trickery in such a deception or in wording on the package. It's a way to measure the contents without opening the package.
Companies: *i fear no man but that thing it scares me*
*Be Amazed mascot comes out of no where*
A store had a sign out front saying t-shirts $15 buy 1 get one free eo I grabbed 2 and went up to pay only to find out the t-shirts mentioned in the sign were riiiight at the back of the store not visible from the front whilst the sign was next to ones at the front of the store that were way more expensive!
Ya know, WE'RE the ones who continue to support the businesses that do this shit.
9:55 *It really does make you feel empty...*
I hate to admit that when the hair appeared, I thought it was from my dog. Lol.

The phone advert one is outrageous i would just return the phone
you can turn off all notificatois and iyyl go away
I don't know if its true, because i have a kinda new samsung phone and i have never got this message.I have my phone 2 months.
@@sabinebrikmane I have did my research and I cant find something with samsung notifications+ads in one sentence😂😔 I think he's sponsored by apple😂 I have a samsung for about 10 years now and ads where never popping up before....
@@Jenssie_N - I am the same, had mine for two years and still havent received such. However you can turn them off anyway within the Privacy section of your Settings.

When I was younger, Coldstone creamery ice cream used to sell dipped ice cream bowls that was the same depth of the paper bowls they would have them in. Now the cone only goes down to about 1/3 the depth, with the top of the bowl being dramatically shorter as well. When I call out store managers for that, they say they have always been the way they currently are, just that it looked bigger just because i was smaller. The cones were their original size all the way up till I was about 24 years old. I'm 33 now. I have not grown anymore in height, just width.
This is the thing you need Government for.. police these dishonest practices and prosecute . It won't stop it but maybe there is some justice. The saddest thing is companies don't really care if they hurt the public.. they make enough money to absorb the cost of getting caught.
8:34 But thats not Chinese dude... thats Japanese
Young Arthur he just wants to make a bad impression on China.
exactly. that's 100% Japanese.... the "leave it to (whichever country)" comment is unnecessary in any situation
some f upp Chinese companies use Japanese letters to full you that is made in Japan and down it is labeled made in China
I got many products that are labeled in Japanese but made in China
@@romania-n6q "MADE" in china, NOT designed and advertised by chinese companies. Just because its made in china doesn't mean its from a chinese company.
90% of american goods are made in china anyways, but china has no control over the design or advertisement scams

THANKS!!!! all your video make me AMAZED 😲😲keep doing more video. Can you make part 2?
The despicable part is that, for instance with the hotdogs, once they return to the 'normal' package size it will likely still contain two less.
8:37 ...but..the package is Japanese??
What about how apple wants you to buy their accessories. Like when you have off brand headphones, charger, aux, a message appears, “ this accessory may not be supported”
Can you clear the notification? Cause if not thats really annoying. One thing I hate is a cluttered notification bar.
Little Miss Tragedy - my idiotPhone does that for actual Apple charging cords!
Why is your voice different
edit:I’m sorry I thought you were bright side
Bright side click baits.
What irks me is when they come out with special deals for new customers only so us customer is they have been faithful customers for years they don't get the good deal only the new people do that come there and leave when the promotional deals over
The behavioural science and clever tricks that go into this marketing is of sheer brilliance, albeit playing on any consumers weak spots.
8:35 that's japanese not chinese

I absolutely love the commentary on these videos. The companies robbing consumers should go straight to hell.

Ahh, I see the dislikes are from the companys that are exposed
9:59 The soda companies did this for a while... shrinking bottles from 20oz to 16.9 oz or 18oz. Now 16.9 Oz bottles are available and always have been, but usually only in 6 or 8 packs. But I know several stores that would sell them for the same price as a 20oz bottle and they would oddly not have any 20oz bottles. I think mfrs (Coke/Pepsi) have gone back to 20oz bottles, but they just upped the price (now a 20oz bottle of soda is about $2 at the store, whereas it used to be $1.50 or so).
another thing apple does is they release "new" features that have been out of android for years then they make the phones that have the "new" features 2x as expensive
Saying the shrimp product comes from China while the word is Japanese.
Brilliant!
4:39. Thank you. That has been my pet phone peeve for a long time. 24GBs of Internal Storage but 20GBs are filled with random nonsense that you can't delete. Infuriating
A thing I discovered with Apple phones is they make all the gadgets that go with it to not fit older versions. Like cell phone chargers or headphones where each item is to be bought every time a new device is bought. That is sneaky. In Apple there is no such thing as a universal charger.
I think if it's a samesung or a phone that have the Google play store you should be able to delete the app
Companies trying to pretend their greed is them being altruistic is just a sickening joke.
I'm eating a standard size bag of Doritos right now. It is 300g. You compared a big to another big bag.
You seem to miss the point didn't ya? Or you just seem to be stupid.
Why don't you tell me what you think the point was? But please still post it once you get to the part where you realize you're an idiot.

I remember seeing an advertisement in a language I don’t know. I think advertisers intentionally put ads with foreign languages assuming you dont know the language so you can misclick and visit their site
The reason why I hate Apple products and stick to Android products
I also like the fact that when it gets dropped it's in the same condition.
@Melody Muniz
iPhone?
I love that Apple pays its people during recessions even in stores where it would make sense to lay people off. They're why we got through the 2008 recession. They're making sure everyone is paid through this virus panic. They don't stop paying people due to outside factors shutting businesses down or because of catastrophic economic downturns. I'll gladly give a company money when it makes sure that the workers don't have to panic everyday wondering if they'll get laid off because business slows. Can you say the same about your precious Android? Nope. Because who even is Android?
God yeah, every time I get a new phone, the first day is wasted having to go through and uninstall and disable everything I don't want.
then don't use android
@@jerryvr but then I'm stuck with whatever apple decides to give me. At least with Android I have a very wide selection of finding a phone that is best fit for me whether it's a cheap $50 phone or a very expensive $1,000 phone. Plus I can switch to LG if I get tired of Samsung. Once you buy Apple, you're stuck unless you want to give up everything you purchased on the apple store.
