I adore Dante for his attitude, he made me laugh with his antics when I was playing DMC3, when I was in my darkest days I read his backstory through the prequel novels. More like his internal conflic. He has alot of self hate because he's half Demon. It's why in DMC5 his song was called Subhuman. He sees himself as a lower life form. Until when he's killing demons or fighting his brother, he rather takes alot of joy from being part demon and he took it far in DMC5 which is why in subhuman it sounds like that as oppose to this CUH-RAY-ZEE version of himself reflected in Devils Never Cry (in stoned af so i understand if this makes no sense)
@@vergilated9829 I actually think that that the "steal a soul for a second chance, but you'll never become a man" line it's a reference of how Eva died hiding Dante instead of running to save herself, maybe in Dante's eyes he took her mother's life (steal a soul) so he could live (for a second chance) and how since then he can't see himself as a human anymore (but you'll never become a man)
I prefer "steel" a soul for a second chance, as in steel your own soul. "Steel" isn't often used in this way anymore, but it has the meaning of gathering one's courage. Dante has to "Steel" his soul because, just before this track, he had an explosion of pure anger and hatred, the type of emotion he spends the entire franchise trying not to give in to. He has to get his emotions in check for his second chance at defeating Vergil, because he knows that succumbing to hatred will weaken him in the long run and make him no more than a demon. He always knew deep down he was human, and what makes humans stronger than demons isn't rage, it's our heart, tears, and capacity for love.
I personally see Dante and Rias as devil friends with benefits but without the benefits. To my view, Rias would view Dante like a brother that doesn't dote on her too much like how Sirzechs does. He'd treat her as a respectable Princess of Destruction and a woman of her own. And he would give props to Issei scoring a beautiful woman like Rias.
Guys if they do crossover episode with dmc x dxd there will be no s.x or nude scene since if that happens Dante nero or Vergil popping out nowhere stop the scene with a song
