Hi Dave! I was a bit confused about the 'medium high' - are you saying that the lips are versatile in dominance? Low - upper lip; High - lower lip: Medium High - either?

"Medium High Placement" embouchure type still has the upper lip dominant inside the mouthpiece cup, so it is one of the downstream types. The reason I use the label's "medium high" or "very high" is because those two embouchure types tend to have placements that are noticeably different from each other. That said, they can appear very similar based on placement alone. The distinguishing feature between the two embouchure types is the direction of their embouchure motion:
Very High Placement - downstream (more upper lip inside), pushes mouthpiece and lips together up to ascend
Medium High Placement - downstream (more upper lip inside), pulls mouthpiece and lips together down to ascend
