      +Cici M YES Nigeria is so beautiful, and modernized, especially Abuja it's like Ottawa/D.C. for a North American reference. Then again Adanna's family is quiet wealthy but we do have economic stratification like anywhere else, just our majority are in poverty unfortunately but change is coming.

    I find it so funny when I see some comments thanks for showing us a different side of Africa. I always say stop allowing the media to feed you those images. Do your own research on Africa... It is a continent filled with so much wealth, cultures, people, greenery etc. 🇿🇦

      +Stephanie Webb PREACH. I live in the states and I've grown tired of explaining that Africa isn't those images. Those feed the children commercials are far fetched. I've never been hungry, never drank dirty water, lived a very good life. We weren't rich nor were we poor. If you google image Kenya(used it as an example since it's where in from) you'll see nothing but beautiful country. We have some bad but the good out weighs is by far. Simple research does so much good.

      +sarah njeri Girl, I just tell people to Google now cause I'm tired as well. Just like here in America not everything is pretty and well off. There are kids who go to school hungry here.
      People really think all Africans are poor and swinging from trees etc
      Maybe one day people will actually look up on Africa and actually see what we have to offer

    Good to see an unbiased perspective of another African country. I'm from Ethiopia and although the media likes to focus on the negative, there has been an enormous progress and so much advancement in my country too. Nigeria unlike Ethiopia has oil and should be the wealthiest country in Africa by now. But, alas, like a typical African fashion, greed gets the best of the leaders. I see a great future for my continent though. Ethiopia along with the other African countries are trying to create an African currency like the EU, and also make traveling throughout Africa much easier like Europe. Great vlog.

      @ca1532 8 років тому +1

      +Dee-Dee Perry (MsLadyD) and we can read , see vlogs / videos like Adanna, subscribe to African media and will develop a healthier perspective. Especially African Americans who need to invest more in Africa and the diaspora as a whole.
      In the Caribbean many people are able to live lavishly as well.. they work and invest. I cannot wait to journey back home for good😊

    • @ca1532
      @ca1532 8 років тому

      +Candace Austin had an Economic Professor who was practically begging us to exspand our perspective on job opportunities... advised that Nigeria and South Africa are prime places to find jobs and invest particularly as foreigners.

    • @ca1532
      @ca1532 8 років тому +1

      Dee-Dee Perry I know you did not but I made emphasis on that because the majority of African Americans have a distorted view of Africa and African Diaspora... What I saw in Adanna's video was not strange or surprising because many countries in Africa have wealthy black folk and so on...the emphasis was just most of my experience with African Americans in college and at the work place.

    You two are totally awesome. Adanna your family is nice and you can see that they are not use to vlogging but they do it just for you and because they love you all. But clearly these people are camera shy or intimidated. David you amaze me how you go to work, and hurry home to your family, because you miss them, and love them. Soul mates and love(baby) spreading the love. You're totally an awesome family. Loved learning of the Nigerian food there. American cuisine is also a lot different also. Congratulations once again. Adanna and David you are the best ever!!!!!

      They only show the bad part of Africa on TV and some people especially Americans think that everyone that lives in Africa is poor. Africa is developing and a lot of things are changing. I'm tired of people going off of only what they show on TV and conclude that Africans are poor. Some people even ask if we have houses in Africa? No we sleep in trees . that's ignorance

    • @thinkboutdat
      @thinkboutdat 8 років тому +11

      Africa was never poor they jus display the negative part of it which every country and continent has jus like in America or wherever u came from too never look down on no body. Nigeria are the most educated get the straight

      I live in Africa Kenya 🇰🇪 The Weatern Media try to depict Africa as poor and emaciated !!!! Take it from me we are not that poor. Every country has a section of poor people but the way the media makes Africa look is just too much. Africa has many people who live way better than many in the western world. Some people think we live on tress lmao - I usually laugh at such ignorant people.

      Well off, but Abujah is a example city for the whole of Naija. Yet houses in Naija are big, of course how well built and stock etc depends on wealth.
      Nigeria lacks infrastructure that's the main issue. Oh and of course the leaders (majority)
