Fantastic Video!! As a life long Cincinnatian it boggles the mind to think something like that was where you said. Ha!😁
I'll mention it to my Dad. I'm fifty, tomorrow is his birthday, I think that was before he was born but my Grandma (96yrs. young)....now that's a different story. I'm sure she'll have a story or five.😉👍 Great video. Thanks.👏👏👏👏

I have professional photos of my Mothers family taken at Chester Park around 1918, not sure of the exact date. My mother told me of having to take a train to the park and it was an all day family affair.

I'm a native in my 50s and hadn't heard of this place until reading about it recently in an 1890s newspaper article!

So sad that things like this did not survive the age of the auto! Right at the bottom of Clifton Hill, basically.

I bet there's not that many ppl that even know that this place ever exist it I would like to see them put some sort of mural or even just pictures of what the area used to be there is one little teeny tiny sign hidden behind a bush that says Chester Park and I guarantee you only a few ppl know this place even exists people drive by it every day and don't even know nothing about it

I think...where the Greater Cincinnat Water Office complex is....was Chester Park. I remember seeing a sign at one time. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

I literally just found out about this place a few days ago...& I've been working RIGHT NEXT to it for 2 & a half years! What's even freakier is when I walk to that area to catch a bus to & from work, I'd keep looking in that area & envisioning a rollercoaster a few times, & I kept asking myself why am I envisioning that?! NOW I KNOW! I kept having strange thoughts fill my head, like, "This would be a nice place for an amusement park," &. "This used to be an amusement park." And I kept looking at the train tracks across the street, & envisioning some sort of walkway from the train to the area where I saw a rollercoaster! I had these visions during the summer of 2019. Maybe my great grandmother was channeling visions to me from the other side. Maybe she got to go to it when she was young. I never knew any of my great grandparents. They were all dead by the time I was born. I never remember anyone in the family mention it. I thought my gramma would've said something about going to it when she was small, but if she did go & was really small, maybe she didn't remember it very well.

It was located at the intersection of Spring Grove and Mitchell Avenue. Nothing remains of the park as all of the buildings and rides were razed back in 1935.
