My Uncle used to race at the Grove in the 60's. He and his "race buddies" ran a '57 Chevy(forget what class) and a shorter wheel-based front engine rail. I was only about 10/11years old, but I used to sit in the rail at their Garage and make "vroom-vroom" noises. It was pretty cool.
Thanks for watching and commenting. I thought it would be awesome for people to see the Grove in its infancy. The video is a little rough but it is almost 60 years old. Glad you enjoyed!
I want to apologize to everyone that has viewed my videos and commented for not replying immediately. I have taken on a very large undertaking for the Eastern Museum of Motor Racing that has consumed a great deal of my time and kept me from completing more videos and replying to comments in a timely fashion. I appreciate all the compliments and comments along with the likes and follows. I am hoping going forward from here that I will have more time to pay attention and will reply as quickly as I can to any future comments or questions. Thank you! Carl
Thank you Nick for the nice comment! Even though I only live roughly 10 miles from the track, I haven't attended many races there except in 2017 and 18 for the NHRA events. hence the pictures at the end. I was, however, at the pool/park one time years ago when the jet cars featured near the end of the film were running. It was loud! The video clips in this film are courtesy of a friend of mine, Dale Wisniewski and his father.

Thanks for the history lesson, but not once did it mention just where the H@ll this place is.All I got was North East. That could be anywhere.
Eastern Pennsylvania near Reading.
Anyone even vaguely familiar with drag racing knows where Maple Grove is.
