I owned a 1970 CB350. Bought it in 1976. I was 14 and I had the fastest bike of my friends. I love the sound as you drove it down the street. So many memories.
I (my first bike) owned a 1969 (red and white tank) CL-350 with raised 'off road' pipes. That was sort of a joke model, in that nothing but the raised pipes at 45 degrees was changed on the model, from the CB (full road). Not really an off-road version at all. I loved that bike...and put many thousand miles (I got my license on that bike) on her. Solid, and dependable, she was...
That's the Honda 350 I had in about 1980. Got it for $200 from my brother in law. He was trying to tune it up and dropped a point screw in one of the cylinder holes and thought he seized it up. I took the chance, gave him $200 and got the screw out with a magnet. Nice little motorcycle. Much better days in the USA. Life was simple.
Great video. Please let me explain why! Where live (Denmark), you can drive a 50cc moped when you are 16 years old. They are restricted to 19mph. and since I did not grow up in a city, some of us took the chance and bought a moped when we was 13! It was freedom. I would drive around whit my friends and we often camped all sorts of places, we were slow but we had the wind and the morning fog in our faces. When we turned 16 we removed the restrictions and even tuned them, mine could top 68mph, still not fast but we got around, but I realized then, the thing about going faster and making wheelies is you never get enough, you want to go even faster, and do even crazier. Now I am 24 years old, and have ben old enough for both MC and Car license since I was 18, back then I started with the car license in order to be more suitable for jobs, and now I finally got the time and money to acquire one fore mc.The way you made this video seems so simple, by taking it slowly, no voice over. driving It with respect. One can almost feel the breeze. You captured the feeling of my dreams, what I want to do when I get the license. Take my time, respect an old bike and the history along with it. Many of my friends drive more or less new bikes, they sometimes seem to be in a rush, I am not sure they understand why I bought a Classic.i just want to BRAKE FREE from my always reliabel BOX of WVThis time I am not in a hurry, and taking no chances of driving it before the license is complete (during this week). Sorry for bad grammar and Dyslexic
Thank's especially for the over the handle bar view. Had a new one while serving in the 82nd Abn.. It hauled my 6'-2" 220lb. ass at over 85 mph. It met it's demise when i T-boned a Gran Torino as he was making a left un-signaled turn. The 8"extended forks were on one side of the intersection and the Torino's left front hubcap was under my rear tire wherein turn the frame was stuck to the left front fender. The helmet shift from impact with ground, tore my right ear half way off, but was sewn back. Good thing i was a Paratrooper @ the time... for it would have killed a normal man, LOL -Former Recondo Sgt. "Rock" 1/504 71-74
Rode an identical bike for many years and put many thousands of miles on it. All over Southern and Northern California. Since then I've rode many big Hondas and big BMWs but, of them all, I think I'd like to ride my old 350 again.
I have just bought one of these as an unregistered fixer-upper (for my first bike).. It hasn't been used in almost 40 years, so I hope it's gonna be OK! Your bike looks gorgeous!
Way back in the day, when Disney World was just born in Orlando, I was lucky enough to own one of these, but in blue/white. I've had lots of bikes, up to a 1500 Suz Intruder, but this Honda is still my favorite one of all.
Where is this bike? It is identical to my first bike except that mine had a rear luggage rack on it. I sold it (practically gave it away) to a friend in PA when I left to join the Navy in '88 and I never saw it again :-(
Yes- in fact I sold this to someone as their first bike. Fairly easy to ride, but still has a healthy amount of power on tap. The only downside is you have to either pay someone to maintain the bike or do it yourself.
Wow thats a well running machine. Do you have the choke closed on cold start? How many turns are your idle mixture screws at? Just bought a 72' cb350 and am trying to set up the carbs. This certainly would be the goal!
i have one;i guess the tappets do make noise.....i didnt think with such tight clearances theyd tap loudly....i should get zinc additive i wonder if that quiets them
Wondering about the mufflers...They kinda look like the stock ones, but not quite...Nice originals are impossible to find, and if these are aftermarket, what are they??..They sound and look just like they should on an old CB350...
Tappet rattle in one of the cylinders sounds fuckin bad, sure it can be disguised when the motor is reved up etc but when it cools down etc it will be there tomorrow
Had one just like this, same colour as well. Nice bike until a car decided to turn in front of me. I survived, the bike did'nt. Could be worse I suppose if it was the other way around.
@@robertbrandywine disagree. Runs great just valve lash tic. Easy to adjust. By ear pull off chrome cover on side tach cable goes on and left side for points. Loosen 12mm nut, turn slotted screw until tic gets quiet, back off a hair or do it correct via U tube adjust valves video.
Everyone that I ever knew that had one of these CB 350s never rode them anywhere cuz they were always fuckin with the ignition on these things... See ya sucka cuz i got electronic ignition on mine!

John Jacoby I've got a 70 350 my self

Beautiful bike and thanks for not ratting it out into a cafe.
I wish motorcycle manufacturers would bring back the kick start.
Me too , it was very useful when the battery was low
Lovely clean original bike. I had a CB 250 K4 in 1973, great looking bike.
Great shots. I've never ridden before and I'm thinking about getting one of these tomorrow

Beautiful camera work and a beautiful bike.
That bike is absolutely gorgeous.
Beautiful bike and video. I have the same bike in candy red. Great stuff, timeless
I have just bought one of these as an unregistered fixer-upper (for my first bike)..
It hasn't been used in almost 40 years, so I hope it's gonna be OK!
Your bike looks gorgeous!
Pretty nice bike, video and ride. The engine sounds great. Congrats. Greetings from Rio de Janeiro, Brasil.
Gorgeous sound just in half kick amazing

Unlucky with the dent in the right side of the tank. Lovely looking bike, seems to go nicely too.
mike is the man now
he was the man with the bike
a brother unknown
simply gorgeous machine
Very nice!! The bike is obviously in excellent state of tune. Even the idle is at 1000rpm and stable. Do you have an electronic ignition?
Tive uma ano 1973 a freio a disco muito boa moto forte mesmo parabens
私はホンダドリームcb250セニア乗っていました懐かしいエンジン音ですね乗りやすいバイクでした動画有り難うございます。
Wow, so beautiful what a classic sounds like it needs an adjustment.
They were and remain good reliable motorcycles.
Tighten the cam chain and adjust the valve clearance , great looking bike
Hey that was exactly what I was thinking, would have idoled prettier
Linda motocicleta. O design dela é harmoniosa.
Where is this bike? It is identical to my first bike except that mine had a rear luggage rack on it. I sold it (practically gave it away) to a friend in PA when I left to join the Navy in '88 and I never saw it again :-(
The 1971 is my favorite year for the 350
Where did you get those tires?
That is my favoutite...the bicilinder...
how much compression are you getting? It looked like there was almost no resistance on that kick start
beautiful
Man, would you look at that. Its perfect
I have a ‘69 cb350 twin that i kinda straghtpiped, its way too loud for how small of a bike it is haha. I gotta make mine sounds like yours!
Very nice bike ! i wonder what the color code?
@Graham Harris is this a good bike to start with? I figured it's not too powerful and its reasonably priced. Great camera work, btw.
Yes- in fact I sold this to someone as their first bike. Fairly easy to ride, but still has a healthy amount of power on tap. The only downside is you have to either pay someone to maintain the bike or do it yourself.
i have one of this how get to repair
needs a valve and cam chain adjustment. it looks great
Wow thats a well running machine. Do you have the choke closed on cold start? How many turns are your idle mixture screws at? Just bought a 72' cb350 and am trying to set up the carbs. This certainly would be the goal!
Start carb Idle screws at 1-1/8 and adjust slightly +/- for best idle. That is, if you have the 722a carbs.
I want that bike now!!!
Nice motorcycle. Is it original or has it been restored?
i have one;i guess the tappets do make noise.....i didnt think with such tight clearances theyd tap loudly....i should get zinc additive i wonder if that quiets them
No adjust per a maintenance tune up book or right here on UA-cam on a video of adjusting valve lash
is it me or are the valves making a ticking noise?
What color is the bike? Thanks
Honda should make this one but with injection System , ABS and surely tubeless tire and LED lamp
Wondering about the mufflers...They kinda look like the stock ones, but not quite...Nice originals are impossible to find, and if these are aftermarket, what are they??..They sound and look just like they should on an old CB350...
bassdude404 They look , to me, like Dunstall's. I could be wrong; it's not unknown!
That was the softest kick start ever....
locomojo0485 I was thinking the same thing
Its exactly how it should be!
Mujhe iske side panel ke sticker 350 chahiye kaha kaise milenge
👌🏻
Cam chain and tappets need adjusting big time . It shouldn't sound like a cannery .
Depodaki göçük canımı acıttı usta

Tappet rattle in one of the cylinders sounds fuckin bad, sure it can be disguised when the motor is reved up etc but when it cools down etc it will be there tomorrow

Had one just like this, same colour as well. Nice bike until a car decided to turn in front of me. I survived, the bike did'nt. Could be worse I suppose if it was the other way around.

TheMatteoStudios The 350s have a 180 firing order.

Love it.
I cried loud when you pushed the start switch while the engine was on😔
That was no cold start.
wish I could kick my CR480R like that !
The Engine has a Miss, A very bad knock, and the cam chain is too loose.
What do you mean by knock, and what causes that.
@@robertbrandywine disagree. Runs great just valve lash tic.
Easy to adjust. By ear pull off chrome cover on side tach cable goes on and left side for points.

Bullshit, clueless now it all.
Everyone that I ever knew that had one of these CB 350s never rode them anywhere cuz they were always fuckin with the ignition on these things... See ya sucka cuz i got electronic ignition on mine!
