This year ( 2020 ) gets worse by the week. So sad to hear about the death of John Sessions. A great comedian, impressionist and much underrated actor. RIP.
Lots and lots of talent there John sessions a legend in British comedy. But it's always going to be stella street for me 100% brilliant with Phil Cornwell...x
I remembering in the early ’90’s I saw him in the Crown Bar in Belfast after he sold out the Opera House across the street. Two people I worked with saw the show and said that he was brilliant. A very talented man and a very funny man. I always liked him. RIP.
I remember John doing stand up in the foyer of the Everyman theatre in Liverpool many years ago when my cousin Chrissie was his landlady in Wellesley Road. She swears she had to wear a crash helmet so she could get to sleep!
Fantastic interview. I was prompted to look up some John Sessions videos by someone on Twitter, saying that he was from Largs (my bit of Scotland), and he that told a great story about Al Pacino and Gregor Fisher. And here are both name-checked. I once heard him live, giving a talk, and it’s a privilege to meet up with him again, so to speak. How did he manage to retain such an authentic Scottish accent? I’ve just read that he left Largs aged three for Bedford
John Sessions was a scot, its one of those things when you talk with a fellow scot you start talking in the same even if youve lost the accent years ago.
Blown away by this interview very enlightening and funny - watch out for the sneeze moment and the aftermath. Watching this gives you just a snatch of just how many 'stars' John has worked with. Really funny about Al Pacino not getting Scottish accents during the making of Merchant of Venice. In five years John played five prime ministers 'that's what tends to happen when you get older - you play a lot of politicians' ANYWAY! If anyone watching this would like to hear more of John's extraordinary career in Radio,TV and film, get yourselves down to The Hill Station Community Cafe Kitto Road SE14 5TW on Sunday 23rd for 6pm for 'An evening in conversation with John Sessions' Tickets are a very affordable £10 for what promises to be an enchanting evening with Q&A also a bar, homemade sausage rolls and spinach & feta rolls www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/in-conversation-with-john-sessions-tickets-79542452617
There was a violent robbery exactly where they were standing, in the spring of this year. I was part of the investigation team. Nothing to do with the video, but I thought it may be slightly interesting.
he was in stella street made 1997 1998 I think and this was 2012 my god hes aged so much looks so different I remember those years and I havent aged that much infact I look the same
+rebecca trafford. Age isn't something you can avoid. Ageing makes death easier. You start becoming less comfortable in your vehicle and that's a clever part of nature. You enjoy your life and then you stop enjoying it and then death becomes better understood and possibly appealing.

@@renjay3743 fuck off
This made me feel sad. I remember when John Sessions was not a UKIP supporting, washed up, reactionary.
So his opinion does not meet yours ??
Cringe take bro
